The main objective of this thesis was comparison of set of edible honeysuckle Lonicera edulis varieties and genotypes in terms of growth rate of shrubs and phenological phases. The observetion was realized in experimental and demonstration area of school farm Žabčice belonging to the Mendel University in Brno. The main observed parameters were shrub dimensions, namely height, width and volume. Varieties included in observation were 'Bakcarskaja', 'Kamtschatica', 'Goluboje vereteno', 'Amur', 'Valchova', 'Fialka', 'Zoluška', 'Viola', 'Tomička', 'Lebeduška', 'Modrý Triumf', 'Leningradský velikán', 'Lipnická', 'Sinoglaska', 'Sinnaja Ptica', 'Morena', 'Gerda', 'Amfora', 'Altaj', 'Roksana', 'Bergsaphir', 'Vasiljevská', 'Kamčadalka', 'Průhonický letní', 'Malion', 'Maister', 'Blue Velvet', 'Vasjuganská', 'Helfštýn' and 'Průhonický'. Also individual phenological phases were evaluated for these varieties during 2013, 2014 and the beginning of 2015 season with focus on sprouting and flowering.
