An empirical research on job satisfaction of employees in state-owned hotels in Shanghai /

The purpose of this study was the following: 1. To identify the indexes of job satisfaction, suiting the culture of the state-owned hotel, in a context of Chinese hotel employees in Shanghai China. 2. To develop a job satisfaction questionnaire for state-owned hotel employees. The questionnaire should have the good discrimination, construct validity and reliability. 3. To empirically study the satisfaction degrees of job facet-specific and general job satisfaction. 4. According the results of empirical study, to identify the key influential factors of job satisfaction in a context of Chinese state-owned hotel employees in Shanghai China, analyses the differences of the job satisfaction between the different types of hotel employees, and analyses the effects of the job satisfaction, explore the construction of the job satisfaction, measure the levels of facet-specific and general job satisfaction of the employees. / Thesis (DBA(DoctorateofBusinessAdministration))--University of South Australia, 2005.
