"Something Under the Covers" is a factual report of the discovery of a prehistoric mammoth on a farm near Fairmount, Indiana, in the spring of 1904. It describes the circumstances of its excavation and subsequent purchase and shipment to the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.The project required intensive research into the documents of the time and interviews with historians and paleontologists to ensure accuracy.
