El exceso de grasa altera el estado nutricional e incrementa la respuesta inflamatoria de un individuo ante un estrés; esto se mide cuantificando la Proteína C Reactiva (PCR) la cual es una citoquina pro inflamatoria; para este efecto se seleccionó a un grupo de individuos que laboran en el Hospital de Chancay, que tienen proporción de grasa corporal diferente catalogándose de acuerdo al Índice de Masa Corporal (IMC) como normal, sobrepeso y obeso. Los individuos seleccionados fueron sometidos a estrés físico mediante el test de Bruce, resultando que existe una relación estadística significativa entre el mayor acumulo de tejido adiposo, manifestado por el estado nutricional (sobrepeso y obeso) y el estado inflamatorio medido mediante la cuantificación de la PCR. Palabras Clave: Estado inflamatorio, estrés, estado nutricional. / --- Excess fat alters the nutritional status and increases an individual's inflammatory response to stress; This is measured by quantifying C-Reactive Protein (CRP) which is a pro-inflammatory cytokine; to this effect to a group of individuals working in the Hospital of Chancay, which have different proportion of body fat cataloging according to Body Mass Index (BMI) as normal, overweight and obese were selected. The selected individuals were subjected to physical stress by Bruce test, proving that there is a statistically significant relationship between increased accumulation of adipose tissue, expressed by the nutritional status (overweight and obese) and the measured inflammatory status by quantifying the PCR .
