La TBC es una enfermedad social muy singular en la adolescencia por los grandes cambios físicos, psicológicos y sociales que se producen y conllevan a una incertidumbre personal, laboral y/o académica así como a limitaciones en su desenvolvimiento familiar y social, condicionando el abandono del tratamiento. Por tal motivo, se plantea investigar ¿Cuál es el significado de ser enfermo de TBC pulmonar para los adolescentes que acuden a la Micro Red “El Agustino”. 2008?, buscando comprender el significado que tiene para los adolescentes ser enfermo de TBC pulmonar; permitiendo establecer ejes de análisis-reflexión para un cuidado integral del adolescente.
Investigación Cualitativa, con 22 adolescentes donde se aplicó una guía de entrevista con 5 preguntas norteadoras mediante una entrevista personalizada a profundidad, procesándose la información mediante Discurso del Sujeto Colectivo de Lefevre.
Consideraciones finales: Ser enfermo de TBC pulmonar significa para el adolescente tener una enfermedad social que afecta integralmente su salud. Según las categorías emergentes: Para el adolescente como persona en sí; la enfermedad significa una carga emotiva muy fuerte y tambien dedicación, responsabilidad y dejar de lado actividades cotidianas. A futuro, la enfermedad significa una crisis psicosocial que requiere de planes de vida para vencerla y tambien un reto a superar. Para el adolescente como miembro de una familia, la enfermedad significa asumir un rol protector hacia la familia, miedo a la reacción de la familia o vivir entre el rechazo y la aceptación. Para el adolescente como miembro de un grupo social, significa vergüenza por la posible discriminación del entorno social y tambien encontrar el apoyo de los amigos. / The TBC is a very singular social illness in the adolescence for the big physical, psychological and social changes that take place and they bear to a personal, labor and/or academic uncertainty as well as to limitations in its family and social development, conditioning the abandonment of the treatment. Final considerations: To be sick of lung TBC means for the adolescent to have a social illness that affects their health integrally. According to the emergent categories: For the adolescent as person in yes; the illness means a very strong moving load and also dedication, responsibility and to leave aside. To future, the illness means a crisis psicosocial that requires of plans of life to conquer it and also a challenge to overcome. For the adolescent as member of a family, the illness means to assume a protective list toward the family, fear to the reaction of the family or to live between the rejection and the acceptance. For the adolescent as member of a social group, it means shame for the possible discrimination of the social environment and also to find the support of the friends.
