El presente estudio de investigación titulado “Necesidades Espirituales de los Pacientes Terminales del Servicio de Medicina en el Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo año 2009” tuvo como objetivo general: Comprender las necesidades espirituales de los pacientes en la etapa terminal de sus vidas. Estudio con enfoque cualitativo de tipo fenomenológico, la muestra estuvo constituida por 10 pacientes en estado terminal, establecida por el nivel de saturación. La técnica utilizada para la recolección de la información fue la entrevista en profundidad, la cual contó con una guía de preguntas norteadoras, permitiendo obtener testimonios acerca de las necesidades espirituales de los pacientes terminales. Asimismo, se realizó una observación participante durante el proceso de la investigación. En este estudio se obtuvieron las siguientes categorías: El ser ahí –finito y el habla, Necesidad de amar y ser amado, Necesidad de decir adiós, Necesitando ser reconfortados por su fe y prácticas religiosas, Necesidad de reconciliación con la propia vida, Manifestando la necesidad del cuidado del personal de salud, Necesitando analizar su vida al sentir su finitud, Pensando en la familia en los últimos momentos de vida y Yendo del rechazo a la muerte a aceptar su finitud
En las consideraciones finales se resalta lo siguiente: Que los pacientes terminales aceptan que la muerte es inevitable, pero en algún momento se resistieron a la idea no ser-más-en-el-mundo. El miedo presente en todo ser humano, es manifestado por los pacientes terminales como un miedo al no poder concretizar sus proyectos en el futuro, tales sentimientos hacen que el paciente pueda encontrarse así mismo. Durante el trayecto hacia su finitud, algunos pacientes entrevistados manifestaron su aceptación de no-ser-más-en-el-mundo, llegando así a lo que Heidegger nos manifiesta como la autenticidad del ser. Es de resaltar que en el estudio se encontró que algunos pacientes refirieron sentirse des-cuidados por el personal de salud, entre ellos por la enfermera, solicitaban ser comprendidos como seres auténticos vivenciando su finitud y ser respetados sus derechos como cualquier otro paciente. / This research study entitled "Spiritual Needs of Terminal Patients in the Medicine Service at the Hospital Nacional Dos de Mayo 2009" was aimed at general: Understand the spiritual needs of patients in the terminal stage of their lives. The study has a qualitative approach of phenomenological, study subjects were comprised of a sample of 10 patients in terminal state set by the saturation level. In the final considerations are highlighted the following: Accepted that terminal patients that death is unavoidable, but at some time resisted the idea of not be more in the world, The fear in every human, is expressed by terminal patients as a fear of not being able to realize their projects in the future, such sentiments mean that Dasein can be found in his There, During the journey to his finitude, Some patients interviewed expressed their acceptance of not be more in the world, reaching us what Heidegger says the authenticity of being.
It is worth mentioning that in the study found that most patients reported feeling neglected by health personnel, including by the nurse, seeking to be understood as being authentic experiencing its finiteness and his rights be respected as any other patient. / Tesis
