La huella dactilar es un medio confiable de identificación de personas; es por ello que el reconocimiento de huellas dactilares por medios computacionales ha despertado un gran interés en el desarrollo de sistemas de información computacionales. Las empresas necesitan cuidar sus activos por lo que buscan las formas de cómo lograrlo, así encuentran en la tecnología la manera automatizada de cuidar sus activos. Para ello, las empresas invierten en grandes sistemas de seguridad, la identificación biométrica ya no es mas un concepto de investigación sino una realidad que se puede aplicar. Hoy en día, existen sistemas computacionales de reconocimiento de huellas dactilares en grandes empresas que necesitan alta seguridad. Por otro lado, también estamos comenzando a ver cada vez más su uso en un rango mucho más amplio de situaciones cotidianas. La aplicación de este trabajo de tesis esta orientado a la seguridad organizacional, basado en la huella dactilar, específicamente tomamos como objeto de aplicación a nuestra Facultad de Ingeniería de Sistemas e Informática de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. / Fingerprint is a reliable human identification. The recognition of fingerprint through computational means is being important in the development of computational information systems. Enterprises need to save their assets. To this end, they look for new ways such as automated technology. Many enterprises invest on some wide security systems. Biometric Identification is not a research concept, but it is a real application. Nowadays, there are computational fingerprint recognition systems in big companies that need high security. On the other hand, the use of this kind of systems is growing in a wider range of daily situations. The focus of this research is addressed to the organizational security based on fingerprints. Therefore, we take as study object our Faculty of Informatics and Engineering Systems at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
