LyX bildet eine bequeme Möglichkeit, Dokumente zu
erzeugen, deren Ausdruck höchsten typografischen
Ansprüchen genügt. Intern wird dazu (La)TeX als
Formatierungs-Engine benutzt. Der Nutzer muß aber
keine LaTeX-Kommandos lernen, sondern wählt für
die Textbausteine geeignete Formatierungscharakteristiken
aus Menüs aus.
