Previous issue date: 2003-08-01 / This work, divided in three chapters, aims to apprehend the
conceptions of the teachers of the 1st cycle on music in the classroom, as well as
to identify their presence or not in the daily life of art classes. The object of our study is
the musical art in education and is based on the study of the proposals of the Parameters
National Curriculares for the teaching of Art. In a qualitative research, we used
basic tools for data collection, observation and the semi-structured interview.
In the course of the work, music is presented as an expressive language and
receptive in the daily life of people and fruit of popular culture. They are also treated,
education and learning, as well as teacher training,
always considering the school as a space for the construction and reconstruction of
knowledge. The work emphasizes art, as an element that contributes to the global
and introduces a brief introduction to the teaching of music in Brazil. The search
was developed in the fourteen elementary schools of the state public network
located in the city of Barra do Garças-MT, having as subjects fourteen teachers
of the respective teaching units, which work in the first cycle. The data
are presented in the third chapter. Although there was a consensus among
subjects that music is a primordial and effective
development of the learner, their use at school is still far
proposed National Curricular Parameters. / Este trabalho, dividido em três capítulos, tem por objetivo apreender as
concepções dos professores do 1° ciclo sobre a música na sala de aula, bem como
identificar a sua presença ou não no cotidiano das aulas de arte. O objeto de nosso estudo é
a arte musical na educação e fundamenta-se no estudo das propostas dos Parâmetros
Curriculares Nacionais para o ensino de Arte. Numa pesquisa qualitativa, utilizamos como
instrumentos básicos para a coleta de dados, a observação e a entrevista semi-estruturada.
No decorrer do trabalho, a música é apresentada como uma linguagem expressiva e
receptiva no cotidiano das pessoas e fruto da cultura popular. São tratadas, também,
questões referentes ao ensino e à aprendizagem, bem como à formação de professores,
considerando sempre a escola como um espaço para a construção e reconstrução de
saberes. O trabalho enfatiza a arte, como elemento que contribui para a formação global do
indivíduo e apresenta uma breve introdução ao ensino da música no Brasil. A pesquisa
desenvolveu-se nas quatorze escolas do ensino fundamental da rede pública estadual
localizadas na cidade de Barra do Garças-MT, tendo como sujeitos quatorze professoras
das respectivas unidades de ensino, as quais atuam no 1° ciclo. Os dados da referida
pesquisa são apresentados no terceiro capítulo. Embora tenha havido um consenso entre os
sujeitos investigados de que a música constitui-se de um elemento primordial e eficaz no
desenvolvimento global do educando, sua utilização na escola ainda está muito distante da
proposta dos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais.
