Defesa: Curitiba, 18/03/2016 / Inclui referências : f. 139-148 / Resumo: A presente pesquisa surgiu do desejo de ampliar a compreensão dos fatores psicológicos subjacentes à obesidade quando inserida no contexto de uma clínica-limite, sob uma perspectiva teórico-prática psicanalítica. Este trabalho possui enfoque em uma obesidade mais resistente ao tratamento e, sobretudo, nas manifestações da obesidade em uma clínica-limite, que já possui em suas características uma dificuldade inerente no tratamento de seus pacientes. O objetivo foi articular uma compreensão sobre qual seria o sofrimento psíquico subjacente a uma obesidade na clínica dos estados limites. Para este intento adotamos o método da construção e análise de caso clínico, um relato de uma experiência única e singular, com objetivo de respaldar um avanço teórico. A hipótese sustentada foi a de que o sofrimento psíquico subjacente a uma obesidade inserida na clínica dos estados limites seria de cunho melancólico. Assim, em uma obesidade marcada por esta posição melancólica, o comer demais assumiria uma tentativa de incorporar o objeto para tamponar ou negar o medo de perdê-lo, utilizando sua oralidade como forma de defesa diante da possibilidade de perda objetal. O caráter melancólico destas subjetividades e a prevalência da pulsão de morte nestes casos demandariam atenção especial do psicanalista. Palavras-chave: psicanálise; obesidade; melancolia. / Abstract: The present research has found its origin on the desire to broaden the comprehension about the psychological factors underlying the obesity when inserted in the context of a borderline clinic, from a psychoanalytic theoretical-practical perspective. This paper focuses on an obesity more resistant to treatment and, primarily, on the obesity manifestations on a borderline clinic, which is already characterized by its inherent difficulty concerning their patients' treatment. Our aim was to articulate a comprehension about what would be the psychic suffering underlying obesity in the clinic of the borderline cases. To achieve the purposes of the research, we adopted the method of the construction and analysis of a clinical case, a narrative of a unique singular experience, therefore aiming to support a theoretical advance. The hypothesis sustained was that the psychic suffering underlying the obesity inserted in the borderline clinic would be of a melancholic nature. Thus, in an obesity marked by this melancholic position, the overeating would assume an attempt to incorporate the object in order to cover or deny the fear of losing it, using its orality as a form of defense before the possibility of an object loss. The melancholic character of these subjectivities and the death drive prevalence in the referred cases would demand a considerable attention from the analyst.
