Previous issue date: 2018-11-28 / INTRODUCTION: Physiotherapy is a profession based on the attention and care of the human body and its functionality, as the main goal of restoring the patient to all forms of expression, which encompass both disorders as the psychic repercussions. In this way, it is necessary to study the body in a larger dimension than the merely physical one, the body demonstrates a subjectivity that goes beyond its organic limits and this subjectivity should not stand in the way of the care of health professionals. OBJECTIVES: The objective of this study was to understand the body vision for the physiotherapist in the dialogue with the Merleau-Ponty phenomenology. METHODS: In order to reach this objective, it was used for the development of qualitative research, based on Merleau-Ponty's critical phenomenological method, using a phenomenological interview with physiotherapists guided by the following guiding question: Speak to me What is body for you? The steps of mundane phenomenological analysis were used to interpret the results. Participants were contacted through the snowball technique, during the collection procedure was used the theoretical saturation method was used. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: 17 seventeen physiotherapists were interviewed, and, in the interview, from the analysis of the interviews, 4 categories of analysis were obtained: the analysis of the discussion resulted in 4 categories, physiotherapist's view on the body, physiotherapist-patient relationship a from listening, pain and its meanings, body in the formation of the physiotherapist. All the categories described were dialogued with the thought of Merleau-Ponty based on the phenomenology of Perception, which brings a body vision totally different from the vision found in the positivist sciences, the body discussion brought by Merleau-Ponty brings a lived, mundane body , unique and inseparable. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: After analyzing all the contents investigated in the interviews it was possible to identify two aspects, the first one and focused on the conception of a Cartesian body vision, which translates into the search for functionality with its anatomical aspects, The second is based on a body that extrapolates its emotions and is inserted in a social and cultural context, so it brings with it reactions that can not be measured, but which can be transformed into the reciprocity of the physiotherapist - patient relationship during treatment. / INTRODUÇÃO: A fisioterapia é uma profissão que se fundamenta na atenção e no cuidado com o corpo humano e sua funcionalidade, com o objetivo primordial de devolver ao paciente a capacidade de se restabelecer sob todas as suas formas de expressão, que abrangem tanto as desordens patológicas como as repercussões psíquicas. Desse modo, faz-se necessário estudar o corpo em uma dimensão maior que a meramente física, o corpo demostra uma subjetividade que extrapola seus limites orgânicos e essa subjetividade não se deve obstar aos cuidados dos profissionais de saúde. OBJETIVOS: O objetivo deste estudo foi compreender a visão de corpo para o fisioterapeuta no diálogo com a fenomenologia de Merleau-Ponty. MÉTODOS: Para atingir tal objetivo, optou-se pelo desenvolvimento de pesquisa qualitativa, baseada no método fenomenológico crítico de Merleau-Ponty, utilizando-se da entrevista fenomenológica com fisioterapeutas direcionada a partir da seguinte pergunta norteadora: Fale-me o que é corpo para você? Foi utilizado os passos de análise fenomenológica mundana para interpretação dos resultados. Os participantes foram contatados mediante a técnica de snowball, durante o procedimento de coleta utilizou-se o método de saturação teórica. RESULTADOS E DISCUSSÃO: Foi entrevistado 17 fisioterapeutas, e, á partir da análise das entrevistas obtiveram-se 4 categorias de análise: visão do fisioterapeuta sobre o corpo, relação fisioterapeuta - paciente a partir da escuta, dor e suas significações, corpo na formação do fisioterapeuta. Todas as categorias descritas foram dialogadas com o pensamento de Merleau-Ponty baseado na obra fenomenologia da Percepção, que traz uma visão de corpo totalmente diferente da visão encontrada nas ciências positivistas, a discussão de corpo trazida por Merleau-Ponty traz um corpo vivido, mundano, único e inseparável. CONSIDERAÇÕES FINAIS: Após a análise de todo o conteúdo investigado nas entrevistas foi possível identificar duas vertentes, a primeira voltada para a concepção de uma visão de corpo cartesiana, que se traduz na busca da funcionalidade com seus aspectos anatômicos, enquanto a segunda baseada em um corpo que extrapola suas emoções e está inserido em um contexto social e cultural, por isso apresenta reações que não se podem mensurar, mas que podem ser transformadas na reciprocidade da relação fisioterapeuta - paciente durante o tratamento.
