Previous issue date: 2006-12-22 / To present dissertation he/she has for objective to make an analysis of the organic agriculture
and of the green market in Brazil under the optics of the Modelo Diamante of National
Competitiveness of Porter (1993). The research is classified as: exploratory, qualitative and
bibliographical, tends as analysis method the comparison between the secondary data and the
variables of the form model to identify opportunities and threats in the insert of the organic
agriculture in the international market. The research verified that the chance and the factors of
conditions act negatively in some dimensions, such as: I cost of transport and storage
capacity, in the process of inclusion of the section in the international market, while the
demand conditions are configured as a positive factor in the competitiveness of the section.
He/she also identified that the action of the certificadoras, support industries or you correlate,
it has been beneficial for the industry and that the supermarkets have if constituted in a net of
favorable distribution. The section, in other words, the structure, strategy and rivalry of the
companies, still has a lot to be developed, mainly through the support to small farmers with
the formation of associations and training. The government's actions need to be intensified as
for the development of new technologies. The work classified the industry as: driven by
factors: basically of production, such as: natural resources or cheap labor, that can become a
competitive factor in the formation of the price. / A presente dissertação tem por objetivo efetuar uma análise da agricultura orgânica e do
mercado verde no Brasil sob a ótica do Modelo Diamante de Competitividade Nacional de
Porter (1993). A pesquisa classifica-se como: exploratória, qualitativa e bibliográfica, tendo
como método de análise a comparação entre os dados secundários e as variáveis do modelo de
forma a identificar oportunidades e ameaças na inserção da agricultura orgânica no mercado
internacional. A pesquisa verificou que o acaso e os fatores de condições atuam
negativamente em algumas dimensões, tais como: custo de transporte e capacidade de
armazenamento, no processo de inclusão do setor no mercado internacional, enquanto as
condições de demanda configuram-se como um fator positivo na competitividade do setor.
Identificou também que a ação das certificadoras, indústrias de apoio ou correlatas, tem sido
benéfica para a indústria e que os supermercados tem se constituído numa rede de distribuição
favorável. O setor, propriamente dito, ou seja, a estrutura, estratégia e rivalidade das
empresas, ainda tem muito a ser desenvolvido, principalmente por meio do apoio a pequenos
agricultores com a formação de associações e treinamento. As ações do governo necessitam
ser intensificadas quanto ao desenvolvimento de novas tecnologias. O trabalho classificou a
indústria como: dirigida por fatores: basicamente de produção, tais como: recursos naturais ou
mão-de-obra barata, que poderão se tornar um fator competitivo na formação do preço.
