Previous issue date: 2007-12-12 / Among the several violence modalities, the domestic is a reality in the homes and doesn t depend on social class, sex, faiths and religious precepts. The violence against the woman can be considered the most practice and the less recognized, is a public health s problem that can be as serious as the suicide or the homicide; it carries out suffering and physical damages, besides building a right s violation. The banality of violence s situation for women during the history appear contribute to seems almost common this phenomenon. This study had as purposes (i) to analyze the coping forms founds by women victims of the domestic violence, in elapsing of the accusation; (ii) to investigate the perception on those women s domestic violence welcomed in a unit of protection to the violence, as well as (iii) the difficulties founds during the accusation in Fortaleza, Ceará, Brazil. With qualitative approach and being characterized as participant research, nine women that were called victims of domestic violence and broken up with the silence, making the accusation, the participated in the study, from August to October of 2007, in the State Center of reference and Support to the Woman (CERAM). The focal group, annotations in the field dairy and observations went the techniques of data s collection and these were submitted to the analysis categories and discussed starting from the Health Belief Model. The results show difficulties for changing the situations and many are the coping forms found by women in picks of helping . The fear, the support lack, the financial dependence, the shame, the maternity, the culture emerged of the study as perception of the susceptibility and identified barriers; the death risk was noticed as severity; the support of the family and friends, the law, the protection sections and God were the told benefits, being configured as coping forms. For them, the violence crossed the limits of the physical nature, because it involved suffering psychological, emotional, economical and social. In the direction, the study shows one serius picture of behavior changes, whose situation is delicate and difficult solution, one time, that the coverage areas to pass through the field of health, culture and politc. This way, those women broke the present silence in the violent relationships, they sought strategies capable to minimize their effects; the support family, affectionate and legal and actions. / Dentre as diversas modalidades de violência, a doméstica é uma realidade nos lares e independe de classe social, sexo, crenças e preceitos religiosos. A violência contra a mulher pode ser considerada a mais praticada e a menos reconhecida, sendo um problema de saúde pública tão sério quanto o suicídio ou o homicídio, acarretando sofrimento e danos físicos, além de construir uma violação de direitos. A banalização de situações violentas vivenciadas por algumas mulheres ao longo da história parece ter contribuído para a naturalização desse fenômeno, pois apesar dos discursos oficiais e das políticas públicas preconizarem a noção de que as mulheres rompam o silêncio da dominação e da submissão aos atos violentos, a realidade na consecução desse processo é contraditória. Desse modo, este estudo teve como propósitos (i) analisar as formas de enfrentamento encontradas por mulheres vítimas da violência doméstica, no decorrer da denúncia; (ii) investigar a percepção sobre a violência doméstica dessas mulheres acolhidas em uma unidade de proteção à violência, bem como (iii) as dificuldades encontradas durante a denúncia em Fortaleza, Ceará, Brasil. Com abordagem qualitativa e caracterizando-se como pesquisa participante, nove mulheres que se denominaram vítimas de violência doméstica e romperam com o silêncio, fazendo a denúncia, participaram do estudo, de agosto a outubro de 2007, no Centro Estadual de Referência e Apoio à Mulher (CERAM). O grupo focal, anotações no diário de campo e observações foram às técnicas de coleta de dados e estes foram submetidos à análise categorial e discutidos a partir do Modelo de Crença em Saúde. Os resultados evidenciaram que as dificuldades para mudar as situações são muitas, mas também são variadas as formas como as mulheres falaram sobre os seus problemas, procuraram ajuda e por vezes conseguiram transformar a situação. O medo, a falta de apoio, a dependência financeira, a vergonha, a maternidade e a cultura emergiram como percepção da suscetibilidade e barreiras identificadas pelas mulheres; o risco de morte foi percebido como severidade; o apoio da família e de amigos, a lei, os setores de proteção e Deus foram os benefícios relatados, configurando-se como formas de enfrentamento. Para elas, a violência ultrapassou os limites da natureza física, pois envolveu sofrimento psicológico, emocional, econômico e social. Nesse sentido, a pesquisa evidenciou um quadro de mudança de comportamento muito sério, cuja situação é delicada e de solução difícil, uma vez que a área de abrangência perpassa os campos da saúde, da política e da cultura. Desse modo, essas mulheres romperam o silêncio presente nas relações violentas, procuraram estratégias capazes de minimizar seus efeitos; o suporte familiar, afetivo e legal e ações intersetoriais foram decisivas para a tomada de decisão dessas mulheres vítimas da violência doméstica no decorrer da denúncia.
