Previous issue date: 2008-12-15 / This thesis describes a study of patients ( children ) undergoing a new intervention model offered by Capsi - Psychosocial Care Center Child . It is well known that the demand for mental health services has increased greatly, not only for adults but also for children . This study proposes a reflection on how you are perceived and self -esteem of these children . The general idea of the work was based in the area of mental health, and interviews with patients in Capsi . The contact with the reality of people with psychological distress led us to a deeper knowledge to the survey . This study was conducted with children of both sexes , living in disadvantaged neighborhoods in the city of Fortaleza , and present the results as is their perception , both for themselves and in relation to their parents , considering that many mental disorders come from tumultuous family relationships . A parallel was drawn between the actual self-image and ideal in these children and how they imagine their parents think about themselves . The research consists of fifteen children , who underwent application of Family Investigation Test ( FIT ) . The methodology was qualitative and quantitative . The results show confused children with low cognitive level , it is not known whether it occurs due to the environment in which they live or by bio - psychic causes . In Capsi visits , it can be observed that there is a great effort of the institution to reintegrate individuals to the community , since they are not removed from the bond of social life during treatment and may remain on your family , so as not to distance of their social life . The family has great influence on the impact of people who suffer from mental disorders , and through research can be seen that the promotion of mental health and its treatment should be planned including family members , to be achieved positive progress . The presence of families at meetings of Capsi is something that should be encouraged by the institution because , although patients reported that their families accompany treatment , these generally do not participate in the meetings . We know that many families have difficulties in dealing with mental illness , but there needs to be an awareness that they are fundamental to improving the patient . We recommend that Capsi continue to develop this work with families . There is also need for further study of the environment in which these children live , who have mental health compromised. / A presente dissertação descreve um estudo realizado com pacientes (crianças) submetidos a um novo modelo de intervenção oferecido pelo CAPsi - Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Infantil. É sabido que a procura por serviços de saúde mental tem aumentado bastante, não apenas para adultos, mas também para as crianças. Este estudo propõe uma reflexão sobre como está a percepção e auto-estima destas crianças. A idéia geral do trabalho baseou-se na área de saúde mental e entrevistas realizadas com pacientes no CAPsi. O contato com a realidade das pessoas portadoras de sofrimento psíquico nos levou a um aprofundamento de conhecimentos com a pesquisa realizada. Este estudo foi realizado com crianças de ambos os sexos, moradoras de bairros menos favorecidos da cidade de Fortaleza, e apresentamos os resultados de como está a sua percepção, tanto de si mesmas quanto em relação a seus pais, tendo em vista que muitos transtornos mentais advêm de relações familiares tumultuadas. Foi traçado um paralelo entre a auto-imagem real e ideal nestas crianças e de como elas imaginam que seus pais pensam sobre elas mesmas. A pesquisa consiste de quinze crianças, que se submeteram à aplicação do Family Test Investigation (FIT). A metodologia utilizada foi qualitativa e quantitativa. Os resultados mostram crianças confusas e com baixo nível cognitivo, que não se sabe se ocorre devido ao meio-ambiente em que vivem ou se por causas bio-psíquicas. Nas visitas ao CAPsi, pode-se observar que existe um grande esforço da instituição em reintegrar os indivíduos à comunidade, visto que os mesmos não são afastados do vínculo do convívio social durante o tratamento, podendo permanecer à sua família, de maneira a não se distanciar de sua vida social. A família tem grande influência na repercussão de pessoas que sofrem de transtornos mentais, e através da pesquisa pode-se constatar que a promoção da saúde mental e seu tratamento devem ser planejados incluindo-se os familiares, a fim de serem obtidos progressos positivos. A presença das famílias nas reuniões do CAPsi é algo que deveria ser mais estimulado pela instituição, pois, embora os pacientes tenham relatado que suas famílias acompanham o tratamento, estas geralmente, não participam das reuniões. Sabe-se que muitas famílias apresentam dificuldades em lidar com a doença mental, mas é preciso que haja a conscientização de que elas são fundamentais para a melhora do paciente. Recomendamos que o CAPsi continue a desenvolver esse trabalho junto às famílias. Há também, necessidade de estudos mais aprofundados sobre o meio-ambiente em que vivem essas crianças, que possuem a saúde mental comprometida.
