Previous issue date: 2015-08-11 / The study presented here originates from a Masters research entitled Transvestite and Aging
Properties: Charting Ways of Life on Transcontemporaneity developed in the framework of
the Graduate Program in Psychology at the University of Fortaleza (UNIFOR) and the
Laboratory of Studies And Research Multiverse: body, gender, and sexuality in the processes
of subjectivation. That move provoked concerns involving the emergence of some questions
How the intersection between gender and generation in subject transvestites joints? In
abjection contexts, how the elderly transvestites move and resist under the discursive
productions that reiterate the heteronormativity? How are the ways of life of the elderly
transvestites in transcontemporaneity? - which subsidized the realization of research designed
to achieve the following objective: to understand the production of gender performing and the
sexuality trials in the intersectional experience of transvestites and aging properties in local
contexts. The theoretical-methodological assumptions underpinning this study cover
deconstructive discourse perspective, by understanding that the speeches cross the subjects,
enabling them to conduct a deconstruction exercise that leads to the making of a movement
of folds on themselves, post-structuralist studies based on Foucault, present in postmodern
debates, and interact with the queer theorizing. Cartography is also present, making possible
to think the problems that inhabit that reality such in a rizomatic way and inducing to monitor
subjects movements and displacements in the experiences of their desires and pleasures. The
stories, memories and experiences of three old transvestites nicknamed Iracema, Aurelia and
Lucíola, developers of their ways of life, invited to think about the offsets movements,
allowing realizing their movements, styles and new possibilities. It is concluded that their life
trajectories are marked by struggles and resistances re-signified and mature by the actions of
the time, revealing that their existence is pulsating and comes from the pleasure and the
desire, as well as their processing capacity and resilience.
Keywords: Transvestite properties. Aging. Cartography. Ways of life. Transcontemporaneity. / O estudo aqui apresentado origina-se de uma pesquisa de mestrado intitulada Travestilidades
e Envelhecimentos: Cartografando Modos de vida na Transcontemporaneidade desenvolvida
no âmbito do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Psicologia da Universidade de Fortaleza
(UNIFOR) e do Laboratório de Estudos e Pesquisas Multiversos: corpo, gênero e sexualidade
nos processos de subjetivação. Tal movimento de pesquisa provocou inquietações que
implicaram a emergência de alguns questionamentos - Como se articula a intersecção entre
gênero e geração em sujeitos travestis? Em contextos de abjeção, como as travestis idosas se
movimentam e resistem diante das produções discursivas que reiteram a
heteronormatividade? Como se apresentam os modos de vida das travestis idosas na
transcontemporaneidade? Por sua vez, estas discussões subsidiaram a realização de pesquisa
destinada a alcançar o seguinte objetivo: compreender a produção de performatividades de
gênero e as experimentações da sexualidade na experiência interseccional da travestilidade e
envelhecimento em contextos fortalezenses. Os pressupostos teórico-metodológicos que
sustentam este estudo abrangem perspectivas discursivo-desconstrucionistas, por
compreender-se que os discursos atravessam os sujeitos, possibilitando-lhes a realização de
um exercício de desconstrução que os conduz à feitura de um movimento de dobra sobre si
mesmos, estudos pós-estruturalistas que aproximam das discussões de Michel Foucault,
presente nos debates pós-modernos, além de relacionarem-se com as teorizações queer. A
Cartografia também está presente, possibilitando pensar de forma rizomática as
problemáticas que povoam tal seara e induzindo a acompanhar movimentos e deslocamentos
dos sujeitos nas vivências de seus desejos e prazeres. Os relatos, memórias e experiências de
três travestis idosas codinominadas Iracema, Aurélia e Lucíola, reveladoras de seus modos de
vida, convocaram a pensar sobre os movimentos de deslocamentos, permitindo que se
percebessem suas movimentações, estilos e novas possibilidades. Conclui-se que suas
trajetórias de vida são marcadas por lutas, resistências e sujeição que são ressignificadas e
amadurecidas pelas ações do tempo, reveladoras de que sua existência pulsa e advém do
prazer e do desejo, além de sua capacidade de transformação e superação.
