Previous issue date: 2015 / CAPES / Este estudo visa analisar as transformações ocorridas no espaço rural do município de Rio Novo do Sul-ES, entrelaçando com a atuação do sistema educacional mediado pela Pedagogia da Alternância, com a qual esse município é contemplado, estabelecendo um paralelo entre a década de 60 e os dias atuais, o qual destaca que a vida rural está mudando, por isso olhar para o rural contemporâneo requer inicialmente que se atente para sua diversidade, da qual emergem possibilidades e simultaneamente preocupações, tendo em vista as novas funções que se vão consolidando e incorporando nas estratégias de reprodução de muitas das famílias que habitam esse espaço. Este trabalho enfatiza a Pedagogia da Alternância, levando em conta sua atuação em meio à dinâmica do espaço rural. Para alcançar o objetivo proposto, delineamos um plano de trabalho que buscou primeiramente realizar uma leitura e discussão bibliográfica, objetivando tanto a compreensão teórica sobre a historicidade da Pedagogia da Alternância quanto à contextualização agrária do estudo, discutindo a agricultura familiar e a pluriatividade e destacando a questão da juventude e a educação do campo. Em seguida, ocorreu um levantamento de indicadores espaciais para compreender a dinâmica rural, enfatizando alguns dados referentes à população rural e urbana do Espírito Santo e do município de Rio novo do Sul. Para a coleta de dados, procedeu-se à pesquisa de campo, a qual buscou pessoas ligadas à fundação da Escola Família Agrícola de Rio Novo do Sul e do MEPES e às lideranças das comunidades rurais de Rio Novo do Sul, bem como alguns ex-alunos da Escola Família Agrícola, o que possibilitou entrelaçar, em seguida, o debate teórico com as questões empíricas levantadas. Entre os resultados, há a necessidade de ressignificar a Escola Família Agrícola no município e despertar um novo olhar para o rural contemporâneo. / This study aims to analyze the changes occurred in rural area of the municipality of Rio Novo do Sul-ES, interweaving with the performance of the education system mediated by the Pedagogy of Alternation, with which this city is contemplated, establishing a parallel between the 60s and the present day, which points out that rural life is changing, so looking for the contemporary rural initially requires you to watch out for its diversity, from which emerge possibilities and simultaneously concerns, considering the new functions that will be consolidated and incorporated on reproduction strategies of many of the families who inhabit this area. This work emphasizes the Pedagogy of Alternation, considering its performance through the dynamics of rural areas. To achieve the proposed objective, we outlined a work plan which first sought to conduct a bibliographic reading and discussion, aiming both theoretical understanding of the historicity of the Pedagogy of Alternation as agrarian context of the study, discussing family farming and pluriactivity, emphasizing the issue of youth and education in the countryside. Then, there was a survey of indicators of space to understand the rural dynamics, emphasizing some data on rural and urban population of the Espírito Santo and the municipality of Rio Novo do Sul. To collect data, it proceeded to the field research, which sought people linked to the foundation of the Agricultural Family School of Rio Novo do Sul and MEPES and leaders of rural communities of Rio Novo do Sul, as well as some former students of the Agricultural Family School, allowing interweaving, then, the theoretical debate with empirical issues gathered. Among the results, there is the need of reframing the Agricultural Family School in the city and arouse a new look for the contemporary rural.
