The arrival and establishment of the mining enterprise in Juruti (PA) caused social, economic, political and environmental impacts. The objective of this work is to analyze the impacts of the arrival and operation of the Alcoa mining company in Juruti, identifying the subjects involved and their rationalities, as well as the political, economic and historical context in which the mining project in Juruti took place. In the methodological process, we adapted the four levels of the geographical research proposed by Libault (1971) in the execution of this work: the compilatory level, correlation level, semantic and interpretative level. The analysis was based on the interface of the Geosystemic and Socio-spatial Training meta-approach. From the analysis performed, we identified that the dynamics of mining has its concreteness in specific places and from this are constructed structures of several matrices that give support to the operation of the activity. Mining is the result of the articulation of different scales (regional, national and international) that takes place in the geographic space generating changes in the landscape and conflicts with the local subjects. Regarding the area of coverage, in Juruti we identified two types of impacts: areolar and linear. However, the impacts are not presented in a homogeneous way, they can be relative, temporary or structural. We conclude that in the case of Juruti Alcoa is the main conditioning agent of the process of spatial restructuring. Where, the changes occurred in Juruti did not negate the importance of preexisting spaces, but influenced processes such as urban growth, expansion of services and infrastructure. Juruti is one of the most recent areas to receive a mining project, where the site had to adapt to the interests of capital and "coexist" with the multiple impacts caused by mining. / A exploração da bauxita situa-se como um elemento dinamizador do processo de produção espacial. A chegada e estabelecimento do empreendimento minerador em Juruti (PA) ocasionou impactos de caráter social, econômico, político e ambiental. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar os impactos oriundos da chegada e funcionamento da mineradora Alcoa em Juruti, identificando os sujeitos envolvidos e suas racionalidades, bem como o contexto político, econômico e histórico em que o projeto de mineração em Juruti se concretizou. No processo metodológico, adaptamos os quatro níveis da pesquisa geográfica proposta por Libault (1971) na execução deste trabalho: o nível compilatório, nível correlatório, nível semântico e interpretativo. A análise foi pautada na interface da meta-abordagem Geossistêmica e de Formação Sócio-espacial. A partir da análise realizada, identificamos que a dinâmica da mineração tem sua concretude em lugares específicos e a partir disso são construídas estruturas de diversas matrizes que dão suporte para o funcionamento da atividade. A mineração é resultado da articulação de diferentes escalas (regional, nacional e internacional) que se concretiza no espaço geográfico gerando mudanças na paisagem e conflitualidades com os sujeitos locais. Com relação à área de abrangência, em Juruti identificamos dois tipos de impactos: areolares e lineares. Entretanto os impactos não se apresentam de forma homogênea, podem ser relativos, temporários ou estruturais. Concluímos que no caso de Juruti a Alcoa situa-se como o principal agente condicionante do processo de reestruturação espacial. Onde, as mudanças ocorridas em Juruti não anularam a importância dos espaços preexistentes, mas influenciou processos como o crescimento da área urbana, ampliação de serviços e infraestrutura. Juruti é um das áreas mais recentes a receber um projeto de mineração, onde o lugar teve que se adequar aos interesses do capital e “conviver” com os múltiplos impactos ocasionados pela mineração.
