Previous issue date: 2012-02-24 / O avanço tecnológico trouxe novas ferramentas para a
comunicação de massa. A imagem digital, a internet e os
dispositivos móveis alteraram a forma de comunicar. A
televisão, que revolucionou o mundo no século passado vem
perdendo sua hegemonia, mas ainda é o meio de maior
abrangência de atuação. O profissional da comunicação
televisiva deve se adequar à nova forma de comunicação
audiovisual, mais interativa e com multiprogramação. A
profusão de novas emissoras de televisão também muda a
cultura de massa, agora mais segmentada. Nesta pesquisa é
feita uma análise de como a TV pública, mais especificamente
a TV UNIVERSIDADE da UFMT, enfrenta esse novo panorama
verificando quais os maiores problemas e as novas
possibilidades para cumprir seu papel na contemporaneidade. / Technological advancement has brought new tools for mass
communication. The digital image, the Internet and mobile
devices have changed the way people communicate.
Television, which revolutionized the world in the last century is
losing its hegemony, but is still the larger scale of operation.
The communications professional television must conform to
the new form of audiovisual, more interactive and
multiprogramming. The profusion of new television stations also
changes the mass culture, now more targeted. This research is
an analysis of how public TV, specifically the TV UNIVERSITY
UFMT, facing this new situation, by checking that the major
problems and new possibilities to fulfill their role in
contemporary society.
