Previous issue date: 2015 / Podemos encontrar na história de vida de Cecília Meireles vários elementos que caracterizam sua poesia e em particular o elemento da ausência ou da perda, expressa através da memória registrada em seus poemas. Percebemos que em sua obra o tema da ausência vai além da perda de pessoas; trata-se de uma ausência que é transmitida a lugares, tempos e até mesmo ao próprio eu. No primeiro capítulo da dissertação apresentamos um estudo da biografia da autora e uma abordagem a respeito do que a crítica especializada aponta sobre a obra ceciliana. No segundo capítulo apresentamos os conceitos de memória, tempo e esquecimento traçados por estudiosos de Santo Agostinho a Derrida para, em seguida, associar tais conceitos à lírica ceciliana. Já no terceiro capítulo, partindo da base teórica sobre poética e hermenêutica, de Jonathan Culler, apresentamos uma leitura mais detida de alguns poemas das obras Viagem, Vaga Música, Mar Absoluto e Solombra que possuem a temática da ausência e outras temáticas recorrentes. Este estudo abarcará a passagem do teor mais sensorial e concreto dos primeiros livros a um teor mais abstrato e metafórico do último, a elaboração da linguagem e a estrutura da composição poética. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ / ABSTRACT: We can identify in Cecilia Meireles' life some elements that characterize her poetry and in particular the element of absence or loss, expressed through the registered memory in her poems. We realized that in her work the theme of absence goes beyond the loss of people; it is an absence transmitted to places, times, and even the absence of herself. In the first chapter of the dissertation we present the author‟s biography and an approach on what the critics explain about Cecilia's work. In the second chapter we present the concepts of memory, time and oblivion conceived by scholars from St. Augustine to Derrida and then we associate these concepts to ceciliana‟s lyrical. In the third chapter, based on the theoretical basis on poetics and hermeneutics, by Jonathan Culler, we present a careful review of some poems of Viagem, Vaga Música, Mar Absoluto and Solombra that are about absence and other recurring themes. This study will cover the passage of more sensory and concrete content of the first books to a more abstract and metaphorical content of the latter, the development of language and the structure of poetic composition.
