O presente trabalho mostra a pertinência da utilização da técnica de História de Vida na pesquisa de comunicação, em especial nos Estudos de Recepção, partindo da idéia que as mediações, sugeridas pela Teoria das Mediações, definemse conforme a trajetória de vida de cada indivíduo. Neste sentido, é possível o resgate e a análise das mediações considerando não só o ato flagrado no momento da recepção, mas levando em conta também toda a trajetória do receptor. Trata-se de um exercício teórico/metodológico que aproxima a História de Vida com o conceito de mediação. O objetivo principal foi o de resgatar a temporalidade social, cotidianidade familiar e competência cultural - principais mediações identificadas por Martín-Barbero -, evidenciando que, a partir da trajetória de duas pessoas, se pode entender como elas se "construíram" receptores. / This study shows the importance of the "Life Histories" technique in the communications research, epecially in the studies of communication. It is constructed from the idea that mediations, proposed by the Mediation' s Model, define themselves from the life 's historiy of each individual.Thus, ir is possible to reconstruct and analyze the mediations considering not just the momento of the reception, but also ali the life of the receptor. It's a theoretical/methodoligical exercise that approximates the "Life Histories"and the concep of mediations. The main objective of this studiy was to identify the social "temporariness", family routines and the cultural competence - the principais mediations proposed by Martín-Barbero -, considering that from the history of two people we can see how they built themselves receptions.
