A pesquisa está dividida em duas etapas. A primeira apresenta e analisa a modalidade de bolsa de Pesquisador Visitante Especial (PVE), bolsa de estudos oferecida pelo Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq). Trata-se de um programa de atração de cientistas e de fomento à pós-graduação inserido dentro do Programa Ciência sem Fronteiras (CsF), o mais amplo programa de intercâmbio científico já promovido no Brasil. Baseado em um referencial teórico de internacionalização da educação, cataloga informações da concessão da bolsa de PVE pelo CNPq, categorizadas de acordo com país de origem, instituição de origem e nacionalidade dos pesquisadores. Os dados indicam que houve concentração de projetos na região Sudeste do Brasil e que quase metade dos projetos foram realizados por apenas dez instituições e, principalmente, que a modalidade PVE contribuiu para a internacionalização da ciência no país. A segunda etapa examina a bolsa PVE, considerando a Teoria de Redes. As bolsas concedidas foram consideradas como projetos de pesquisa cooperativa. A análise da relação entre as instituições nacionais e internacionais envolvidas nos projetos finalizados até 2015 na modalidade gerou um grafo de interação entre elas, que foi considerado uma rede de instituições. A análise das interações permite concluir que houve o fortalecimento da cooperação internacional em ciência e tecnologia no país, com potencial de formação de novas relações dentro da rede. / The research is divided into two steps. The first one presents and analyzes the Special Visiting Researcher grant (PVE), fellowship offered by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). It is a Program to attract scientists and to promote the post-graduation within the Science without Borders program (CsF), the broader scientific exchange program ever promoted in Brazil. Based on a theoretical framework of education internationalization, it tabulates data of PVE scholarship awarded by CNPq, classified according to its characteristics such as country of origin, institution of origin and researcher nationalities. The data indicate a concentration of projects in the Southeast region of Brazil, that nearly half of the projects were carried out by only ten institutions, and that the PVE grant contributed to the internationalization of the Brazilian´s science. The second one examines the Special Visitor Researcher (PVE) fellowship granted by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) by the Science without Borders Program (CsF) considering the Network Theory. The granted fellowships were considered as projects of cooperative research. The analysis of the relations between national and international institutions involved in each Project finished until 2015 generated an interaction graph among them. This graph was considered as a network of institutions. The analysis of their interactions allows the conclusion that it reinforced the Brazilian technological and scientific international cooperation with potential for formation of new connections within the network.
