O presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar os efeitos dos ciclos de recozimento de esferoidização nas propriedades mecânicas do aço ABNT 5160. O aço ABNT 5160 foi escolhido para este estudo por ter uma grande aplicabilidade na indústria automobilística; possuindo como características principais a sua utilização em peças e conjuntos que necessitam de grande resistência à corrosão e ao calor e também onde é necessário um número elevado de ciclos de tensões; como por exemplo: em molas automotivas. Os espécimes originais foram caracterizados através de análise química, tração, dureza e estrutura metalográfica. Para este estudo, foram realizados diferentes ciclos de recozimento de esferoidização para a obtenção das mudanças na estrutura cristalina e, por conseguinte, alterações nas propriedades mecânicas do material. Para isto, as amostras foram submetidas a diferentes ciclos de recozimento de esferoidização, seguindo a curvas distintas de tempo em temperatura. / The present work has as goal analyzes the effects of the spheroidizing anneal cycles of in the mechanical properties of the ABNT 5160 steel. The ABNT 5160 steel was chosen for this study by has a great applicability in the automobilist industry; possessing as main characteristics the use in pieces and groups that need great resistance to the corrosion and the heat and also where it is necessary a high number of stress cycles; as for instance: in automotive springs. The original specimens were characterized by chemical analysis, uniaxial tension test, hardness and metallographic structures. For this study, different spheroidizing anneal cycles were accomplished for the obtaining of the changes in the crystalline structure and consequently, alterations in the mechanical properties of the material. For this, the samples were submitted to different spheroidizing anneal cycles, following to curves different from time in temperature.
