"Teatro e história: uma experiência historiográfica" parte de uma investigação das formas narrativas mais difundidas numa comunidade pouco letrada. O teatro, opção preferida pela comunidade onde situou-se o estudo -a Vila Pinto- revelou-se tanto um instrumento comemorativo quanto uma forma de expor problemas. Assumimos então a hipótese de que o teatro pico poderia desenvolver potencialidades dessa forma narrativa enquanto escrita da história, desenvolvendo uma parceria de texto e encenação com um, grupo de adolescentes para contar a hist6ria do espaço público mais antigo da cidade, a Rua da Praia. O resultado é a construção de uma identidade transcendental, o grupo de teatro, que atinge o entendimento e narração da história, ainda dentro do limite que denominamos para-historiográfico, isto é, uma forma mimética diante do caráter fragmentário e probabilístico do conhecimento histórico. / A research driven study "Teatro e histria: uma experiência historiográfica", starts from a project related to the most spread narrative forms into an illiterate community. The drama reveals itself to the members of the Vila Pinto, where the study was realized, as an instrument for pleasure as much as a form to expose their own problems. For instance, we assume the hypothesis that through the epic drama would be developed some capacities to write the History. This was possible associating the text and the dramatization with a group of teenagers who through this could relate the story of one of the most ancient parts of the City named Rua da Praia. The product of the experience was a construction of a transcendental identity, a group of theatre, who reaches the understanding and the narration of the History, still on the limits that we have called as para-historio graphic. That is, a kind of mimetic form produced by the fragmentary and the probable character of the historical knowledge
