Avaliou-se a dinâmica de florescimento, os componentes do rendimento e a produção de sementes de Lotus subbiflorus cv. El Rincón, na Estação Experimental Agronômica da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (EEA/UFRGS), localizada no município de Eldorado do Sul, RS, região ecoclimática denominada Depressão Central. Para tanto, foram realizados dois experimentos, o primeiro em 2007/2008 e o segundo, em 2008/2009 com sementes provenientes do Uruguai, as quais foram inoculadas e semeadas a lanço, em 01/06/2007, e em linhas, em 25/04/2008. As amostragens semanais foram realizadas em retângulos medindo 25 x 50 cm, dispostos aleatoriamente sobre a área experimental, em um delineamento experimental e blocos completamente casualizados. As variáveis analisadas foram: número de botões florais/m², número de inflorescências/m², número de flores/m², número de legumes totais/m², número de legumes maduros/m², número de sementes/m², peso de 1000 sementes, rendimento de sementes/m², peso de matéria seca de forragem e índice de colheita. O florescimento de L. subbiflorus na região onde o experimento foi conduzido iniciou em novembro, sendo a floração mais intensa entre o final de dezembro e início de janeiro. Os componentes mais determinantes do rendimento de sementes, em ambos os anos, foram o número de legumes maduros/m² e o número de sementes/m², sendo o momento mais adequado para a colheita de sementes quando atingiu aproximadamente 4.000 GD, contados a partir da data de semeadura. A melhor época de colheita dos legumes foi no mês de janeiro, sendo que o máximo rendimento de sementes foi de 54 kg/ha, no segundo ano. No primeiro ano, os rendimentos foram muito baixos, principalmente devido a presença de espécies indesejadas e à interrupção do experimento devido à aplicação do herbicida. / The flowering dynamics, seed yield components, and the seed production of Lotus subbiflorus cv. El Rincón were evaluated. This study was conducted at the Agronomical Experimental Station of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (AES/UFRGS), located in Eldorado do Sul, city of RS, physiographic region named Central Depression. Two experiments were conducted, the first in 2007/2008 and the second, in 2008/2009. In both years, the seeds obtained from Uruguay were inoculated and broadcast sowed on 01/06/2007, and sowed in rows, on 25/04/2008. The weekly samplings were carried out with 25 x 50 cm rectangles, randomly disposed over the experimental area, in a completely randomized experimental design and in randomized blocks, in the first and second year, respectively. The following variables were analyzed: number of floral buds/m², number of infloresensces/m², number of flowers/m², number of total legumes/m², number of mature legumes/m², number of seeds/m², weight of 1000 seeds, seed yield/m², weight of dry matter of herbage and harvest index. The flowering of L. subbiflorus in the region where the experiment was conducted initiated in November, with the most intense flowering taking place between the end of December and beginning of January. The most important seed yield components, in both years, were the number of mature legumes/m² and the number of seeds/m², and the most appropriate time for seed harvest was at approximately 4.000GD, counted since the sowing date. The best time for legumes harvest was in January, with the maximum obtained seed yield of 54 kg/ha, in the second year. In the first year, the yields were very low, mainly due to the presence of weed species.
