Grapholita molesta é um tortricídeo de origem asiática, que tem como principais hospedeiros, espécies de rosáceas. Neste estudo foram avaliadas as alterações morfológicas nos órgãos reprodutivos de machos e fêmeas de G. molesta de um e oito dias de idade, virgens e acasalados. As implicações da idade, do número de acasalamentos e do comportamento poligâmico na performance reprodutiva de G. molesta também foram estudadas. No sistema reprodutivo das fêmeas a bolsa copuladora, ovidutos, receptáculo seminal e ovários foram as estruturas que sofreram significativas modificações em função da idade e/ou status de cópula. Nos machos, tais fatores levaram a alterações nos testículos, vasos deferentes, vesícula seminal, glândula dos dutos e dutos ejaculatórios. O comportamento poliândrico não elevou as médias de fecundidade, fertilidade e longevidade das fêmeas, assim como o poligínico foi desvantajoso ao macho, apenas por este não conseguir copular com todas as fêmeas oferecidas. Os machos mantiveram o mesmo sucesso reprodutivo após quatro cópulas consecutivas, apesar de na primeira transferirem um espermatóforo maior. Fêmeas copuladas por machos já acasalados foram mais receptivas em novos pareamentos, do que as fertilizadas por machos virgens, sem alterar a duração do período refratário. A fecundidade, fertilidade e longevidade das fêmeas não se alteraram quando estas copularam uma ou várias vezes ao longo da vida. O avanço da idade do casal foi um fator que contribuiu para a queda nas taxas das variáveis reprodutivas avaliadas. Os resultados apontam que a capacidade de reprodução de G. molesta alterou-se minimamente diante dos fatores analisados, ressaltando assim, o elevado potencial biótico da espécie. / Grapholita molesta is an Asian totricidean that has rosacean species as one of its main hosts. In the present study morphological modifications in reproductive organs of males and females of G. molesta were evaluated in individuals of one and eight days of age, virgin and non-virgin. The implications of age, number of copulas, and polygamic behavior in the reproductive performance of G. molesta were also studied. In the reproductive system of the females the copulatory pouch, oviducts, sperm receptacle, and ovaries presented significant modifications according to the age and/or copula status. While in males, these factors led to alterations of the testicles, deferent ducts, seminal vesicles, ejaculatory ducts and its glands. The polyandric behavior did not increased mean fecundity, fertility, and longevity of the females, and the polyginic behavior presented disadvantages for the males, since they could not copulate with all available females. Males kept the same reproductive success after four consecutive copulas, but in the first they transferred a larger spermatophore. Females copulated by males that have had a copula before were more receptive when paired with other males, in comparison with females fertilized by virgin males. No alteration in length of the refractory period was observed. Fecundity, fertility, and longevity of the females were not altered when they copulated one or several times during the life cycle. The rates of the reproductive variables evaluated decreased with an increase in the age of the couple. The results demonstrate that the reproductive capacity in G. molesta presented minimum alteration in relation to the factors analyzed here, highlighting the elevated biotic potential of the species.
