Previous issue date: 2015-02-19 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The studies about the migratory processes tend to concentrate on the analysis of the people who migrate to other places, being rare studies that focus on the family perspective that remain in their places of origin. The objective of this research is to analyze the migrations as an experience lived by the families of farmers who remain in the municipality of Itapuranga, State of Goiás. This municipality has a wide representation in family farming and, in recent decades, also was marked by intense migratory flows, especially international. This research is characterized by a case study, carried out in Itapuranga, being that the research techniques for the removal of field data were: bibliographic research, documentary research, observation and semi-structured interviews with the families of family farmers that had some relative or friend who migrated, and interviews with key informants. The reconstruction of migratory processes in family agriculture from Itapuranga indicates the existence of a rural migrant population, built gradually since the constitution of the municipality, through a succession of migratory flows that culminated in international migration. The migratory processes experienced by the family farmers in the decades from 1960 to 1980 are related to the distinct and heterogeneous forms of social, cultural and economic structuring of the Capitalism. The international migrations bring implications for the families that have remained in Itapuranga, being these ones evident in the reduction of family labor, in the worsening of diseases, in the family reorganization and in the migratory mourning, which ones will impact directly on the family dynamics and in the organization of the property. Many rural migrants return to Itapuranga and these returns also affect the development of family farming. With their migratory international luggage, the rural migrants returned change their relationships with the land and with the family and build new rural identities. The research concludes that, migratory processes developed in Itapuranga integrated historical struggles to reproduce socially means and ways of life of the family farmers. / Os estudos sobre os processos migratórios tendem concentrar na análise das pessoas que migram para outros lugares, sendo raros os estudos que enfocam a perspectiva dos familiares que permanecem nos locais de origem. O objetivo da pesquisa é analisar as migrações como uma experiência vivida pelas famílias de agricultores que permanecem no município de Itapuranga, Estado de Goiás. Esse município possui uma ampla representatividade na agricultura familiar e, nas últimas décadas, também ficou marcado pelos intensos fluxos migratórios, especialmente internacionais. Essa pesquisa caracteriza-e por ser um estudo de caso, realizado em Itapuranga, sendo que as técnicas de pesquisa para o levantamento de dados de campo foram: pesquisa bibliográfica, pesquisa documental, observação e entrevistas semiestruturadas, realizadas com as famílias de agricultores familiares que tiveram algum parente ou amigo que migrou, além de entrevistas com informantes-chave. A reconstrução dos processos migratórios na agricultura familiar itapuranguense indica a existência de uma população rural migrante, construída gradativamente desde a constituição do município, através de uma sucessão de fluxos migratórios que culminaram nas migrações internacionais. Os processos migratórios vivenciados pelos agricultores familiares nas décadas de 1960 a 1980 estão relacionados com as formas distintas e heterogêneas de estruturação social, cultural e econômica do capitalismo. As migrações internacionais trazem implicações para as famílias que permaneceram em Itapuranga, estando estas evidentes na redução de mão de obra familiar, no agravamento de doenças, na reorganização familiar e no luto migratório, as quais vão impactar diretamente na dinâmica familiar e na organização da propriedade. Muitos migrantes rurais retornam para Itapuranga e esses retornos também afetam o desenvolvimento da agricultura familiar. Com sua bagagem migratória internacional, os migrantes rurais retornados alteram suas relações com a terra e com a família e constroem novas identidades rurais. A pesquisa conclui que, os processos migratórios desenvolvidos em Itapuranga integravam lutas históricas para reproduzir socialmente meios e modos de vida dos agricultores familiares.
