Previous issue date: 2017-03-29 / Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPES / The current context of geographic science can be understood as a period marked by transformations in the way of understanding the socio-spatial dynamics, which has headed this science to go to a variety of themes as difference, gender, race and sexuality. In this sense, geographers try to cover the multiplicity of sense that can be attributed to space. Before this reconfiguration, the geographic knowledge has been permeated, therefore, by issues that are linked to intersection between body and space. Therefore, I searched in the dialogue between Geography and black literature, elements that could make possible to comprehend the multiple spatialities. This way, this thesis is based on the hypothesis that the literary narratives by Conceição Evaristo, a black writer woman, are marked by the relationship between body and space. I constructed the analysis based on the novels Ponciá Vicêncio (2003) and Becos da Memória (2006) by the referred author, which defines her narratives as escrevivência (“write-living”). For her, her writing is marked, greatly, by her socio-spatial trajectory and by her memories, which permits her to create and write from her experiences as a black woman. The novels analyzed have significant inscriptions of intersectionality, once the characters’ stories are constituted, in a significant part, by the relationship between gender, race and space. This way, they made possible to me to stablish an intersectional analysis whereby I understood that the spatialities of black women are constituted, also, by their bodies. These bodies have the possibilities and the limits these people find in their everyday lives, demarcating which spaces are forbidden and the ones that are possible to be occupied. To develop this research, I made use of Discourse Analysis (DA) as methodology, in a way to identify the discursive memories, formations and ruptures found in the narratives. Beyond that methodological procedure, I searched to find the spatial inscriptions that make relation with the body through the survey of terms and expressions that could indicate the intersection between these aspects. This way, I identified how the intersectionality is constituted in these novels among the mentioned categories. / O atual contexto da ciência geográfica pode ser entendido como um período marcado por transformações na maneira de compreender as dinâmicas socioespaciais, o que tem direcionado essa ciência a se enveredar por temáticas diversas, como a diferença, gênero, raça e sexualidade. Nesse sentido, geógrafas/os procuram abarcar a multiplicidade de sentidos que podem ser atribuídas ao espaço. Diante dessa reconfiguração, o conhecimento geográfico tem sido permeado portanto, por questões que são atreladas à intersecção entre corpo e espaço. Para tanto, procurei, no diálogo entre a geografia e a literatura negra, elementos que possibilitassem compreender as múltiplas espacialidades. Dessa maneira, esta tese se fundamentou na hipótese de que as narrativas literárias de Conceição Evaristo, uma escritora negra, são marcadas pela relação entre corpo e espaço. Construí as análises com base nos romances Ponciá Vicêncio (2003) e Becos da memória (2006) da referida autora que define suas narrativas como escrevivência. Para ela, a sua escrita está marcada, em grande parte, por sua trajetória socioespacial e por suas memórias, o que lhe permite criar e escrever a partir de suas vivências e experiências enquanto mulher negra. Os romances analisados possuem significativas inscrições de interseccionalidade, uma vez que as histórias das personagens são constituídas, em parte significativa, pela relação entre gênero, raça e espaço. Eles me possibilitaram, desse modo, estabelecer uma análise interseccional, por meio da qual compreendi que as espacialidades das mulheres negras são constituídas, também, por seus corpos. Estes têm as possibilidades e os limites que esses sujeitos encontram em seu cotidiano, demarcando quais espaços são interditos e quais são possíveis de se ocupar. Para desenvolver esta pesquisa, utilizei a análise do discurso (AD) como metodologia, de maneira a identificar as memórias, formações e rupturas discursivas presentes nas narrativas. Além desse procedimento metodológico, busquei localizar as inscrições espaciais que se relacionam com o corpo através do levantamento de termos e expressões que indicassem a intersecção entre esses aspectos. Dessa maneira, identifiquei como é constituída a interseccionalidade nesses romances entre as categorias referidas.
