of the New State through the intellectual trajectory of Azevedo Amaral. We
sought from his writings both in magazines and in his books, to discuss how
some fundamental aspects of the nationalist ideology of the period were
constructed. These aspects are: political advertising, widely used to legitimize
the regime, and the elaboration of a state theory, which as a body of political
ideas, explained the functioning and organization of the New State . / O objetivo central desse trabalho é fazer uma análise da ideologia nacionalista
do Estado Novo através da trajetória intelectual de Azevedo Amaral.
Buscamosa partir de seus escritos tanto em revistas como em seus livros,
discutir como foi construído alguns aspectos fundamentais da ideologia
nacionalista do período. Esses aspectos são: a propaganda política,largamente utilizada para legitimar o regime, e a elaboração de uma teoria de
Estado, que enquanto corpo de ideias políticas, explicava o funcionamento e
organização do Estado Novo
