Previous issue date: 2012 / A pesquisa trata da relação entre ser humano e natureza, tendo como foco a comunidade Vila Sorriso, situada a 7,5 km da sede do município de São Caetano de Odivelas no Estado do Pará. Objetiva identificar dentre os pescadores extrativistas do manguezal, os modos de vida como subsistência, seus saberes e práticas em relação ao uso do manguezal e propor ações que possam reduzir os impactos negativos no ecossistema local. O procedimento metodológico obedece três etapas, sendo a primeira o levantamento bibliográfico, a segunda uma abordagem da pesquisa de campo com entrevistas, observações dos modos de vida, a utilização do ecossistema de manguezal a partir dos conhecimentos locais e a terceira etapa a sistematização de todo conhecimento adquirido pelos pescadores extrativistas, levando em consideração os modos de vida e os saberes e práticas da comunidade pesqueira extrativista. Foi identificado que na referida comunidade são utilizadas três técnicas de captura do Ucides cordatus L.1763: a do laço, a técnica da tapagem e a técnica do soco, braço ou muque. Essas técnicas de captura foram analisadas e trabalhadas junto à comunidade com base na legislação ambiental nacional e estadual, visando a inserção da legislação com os extrativistas, fomentando o desenvolvimento local e a conservação do ecossistema de manguezal. A partir das observações, análises, interpretações e sistematizações, a pesquisa discorre sobre a sustentabilidade local e junto com os pescadores extrativistas, propõe algumas ações para a conservação do ecossistema local, como: estudar as galerias do Ucides cordatus L., 1763, para disseminação do conhecimento do sexo e do tamanho do animal antes da captura; capacitar os pescadores extrativistas, através de reuniões, cursos e oficinas, para sensibilização na técnica do laço, para liberação do crustáceo que não pode ser comercializado, e estimular a participação dos extrativistas na colônia de pescadores local na qual são filiados, para serem beneficiados com o seguro defeso. / The research treats of the relationship between human being and nature, tends in focus the community of Vila Smile, located to 7,5 km of the headquarters of the municipal district of São Caetano of Odivelas, State of Pará. Lens to identify among the extraction fishermen in the mangroves, the life manners as subsistence, yours know and practices in relation to the uses of the mangroves and to propose actions that can reduce the negative impacts in the local ecosystem. The methodological procedures obey in three stages, being the first the bibliographical rising, Second stage approach of the field research with interviews, observations of the life manners, the use of the mangroves ecosystem starting from the local knowledge and the third stage the systematisation of every acquired knowledge for the extraction fishermen, taking in consideration the life manners and you know them and the extraction fishing community's practices. It was identified that in the referred community three techniques of capture of the Ucides cordatus are used L.1763: the one of the bow, the technique of the tapagem and the technique of the punch, arm or muscles. Those capture techniques were analyzed and worked the community close to with base in the legislation, seeking the insert of the legislation with the extrativists, fomenting the local development and the conservation of the mangrove ecosystem. It starting from the observations, analyses, interpretations and systematizations, the research discourses on the local sustainability and with the extrativists fishermen, it proposes some actions for the conservation of the local ecosystem, as: to study the galleries of the Ucides cordatus L., 1763, for dissemination of the knowledge of the sex and of the size of the animal before the capture; to qualify the extrativists fishermen, through meetings, courses and workshops, for awareness in the technique of the lace, for liberation of the crustacean that cannot be marketed and to stimulate the participation of the extrativists in the local colony of fishermen in the which they are enrolled, in manner they be benefitted with the defeso insurance.
