Previous issue date: 2012 / Este estudo, inserido no Projeto IFNOPAP (UFPA), apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa em análise de narrativas orais do caboclo de Santa Cruz do Arari, que servem, simultaneamente, como fonte e transmissão do conhecimento empírico produzido pelo homem rústico e sua relação com o meio ambiente. Sob o título “Narrativas orais: cultura e identidade em Santa Cruz do Arari” buscam-se desvelar a teia simbólica que entrelaça aspectos ligados à sexualidade, à moralidade e à religiosidade ― preceitos ideológicos que consubstanciam a cultura e a memória constituintes da base identitária da sociedade, por conseguinte, presentes nas narrativas orais “Cobra Custódio”, “Boto-mirim” e “Bode Cheiroso”. O locus da pesquisa é o município de Santa Cruz do Arari, situado na ilha do Marajó. Essas narrativas foram analisadas sob as perspectivas dos seguintes teóricos: Gilbert Durand (1997), Mircea Eliade (1991), Walter Benjamin (1994), Paul Zumthor (1993), Ecléa Bosi (1994), Michael Pollak (1992), Paes Loureiro (1995) e Clifford Geertz(2011). Teóricos que nortearam o viés reflexivo desse estudo. / This study, inserted in the project IFNOPAP (UFPA), shows the results of a research in oral narratives by the native of Santa Cruz do Arari, which serves, simultaneously, as source and transmission of empirical knowledge produced by rustic man and his relationship with the environment. Under the title “Oral Narratives: culture and identity in Santa Cruz do Arari”, it searches unveil the symbolic web aspects of sexuality, morality and religiousness ― ideological subjects which gather the culture and the memoirs components of the identity base of the society, therefore, presents in oral narratives “Cobra Custódio”, “Boto-mirim” and “Bode Cheiroso”. The locus of the search is the municipality of Santa Cruz do Arari, situated on Marajóisland. These narratives were analyzed under the perspectives of the following theorists: Gilbert Durand (1997), MirceaEliade (1991), Walter Benjamin (1994), Paul Zumthor (1993), EcléaBosi (1994), Michael Pollak (1992), Paes Loureiro (1995) and Clifford Geertz (2011). Theorists who guided the reflexive bias in this study.
