Previous issue date: 2017-03-06 / Este trabalho busca analisar a influência recente do setor industrial sobre o crescimento econômico dos municípios do Semiárido Nordestino, buscando observar quais os subsetores mais importantes nas localidades mais dinâmicas. O interesse na análise desse setor na região surge, primeiramente, devido as próprias características socioeconômicas que ainda se encontram no local, sendo ainda um território de muita pobreza e com uma economia ainda muito apoiada em atividades de baixa produtividade. Segundo, os indícios recentes que mostram que nos últimos anos o Semiárido tem apresentado uma melhora nesse cenário, aumentam o interesse nesse setor, caracteristicamente dinâmico. O trabalho se desenvolve a partir da análise descritiva das variáveis de Produto Interno Bruto e Valor Adicionado Bruto da Indústria, procurando evidenciar os municípios mais dinâmicos em termos de ambas as variáveis, para posteriormente evidenciar os subsetores mais importantes em termos de aumento de vínculos empregatícios. Por último, a partir dos repasses realizados do Fundo Constitucional de Financiamento do Nordeste (FNE) aos setores da indústria no Semiárido Nordestino, se busca relacionar o montante dessas transferências com o crescimento do setor industrial nos municípios, de modo a constatar a possível influência desses repasses no dinamismo. Os resultados apontam que o Semiárido Nordestino apresenta um maior dinamismo do setor industrial quando comparado com a Região Nordeste e o Brasil, apesar deste ocorrer principalmente em determinadas áreas dinâmicas. Já com relação ao FNE, a análise possibilita indicar que as transferências podem estar contribuindo para o dinamismo, principalmente nas localidades com maior volume de recursos. / This paper tries to analyze a recent influence of the industrial sector on the economic growth of the municipalities of the Brazilian Northeastern Semi-arid region, seeking to observe which are the most important subsectors in the most dynamic localities. The interest in the analysis of this sector in the region arises, firstly, due to the socioeconomic characteristics that still are in the place, being still a territory of much poverty and with an economy still very supported in activities of low productivity. Second, recent evidence showing that in the last few years the Semiarid has presented an improvement in this scenario, increases interest in this sector, given its dynamic characteristics. The work develops from the descriptive analysis of the variables of Gross Domestic Product and Gross Value Added of Industry, seeking to show the most dynamic municipalities in terms of both variables, to later highlight the most important subsectors in terms of employment increases. Finally, based on the pass-through of the Constitutional Financing Fund of the Northeast (FNE) to the industrial sectors in the Northeastern Semi-arid region, the purpose is to relate the amount of these transfers to the growth of the industrial sector in the municipalities, in order to verify the possible influence of these transfers on dynamism. The results indicate that the Northeastern Semi-arid region presents a greater dynamism of the industrial sector when compared to the Northeast Region and Brazil, although this occurs mainly in certain dynamic areas. Regarding the FNE, the analysis makes it possible to indicate that the transfers may be contributing to the dynamism, especially in the localities with greater volume of resources.
