Previous issue date: 2016-08-31 / CAPES / Esta dissertação tem como objeto de estudo as representações sócio-políticas de agricultores, participantes de associações no município das Correntes com atenção especial aos agricultores integrantes das associações comunitárias do Sítio Laje e do Sítio Balaio. Para isso, são pesquisados os aspectos mais relevantes da representação política, através das relações entre os agricultores nessas instituições. E, enquanto partes do movimento social de agricultores, suas afinidades e disputas políticas abertas pelo poder local; como também os seus ritos, ações e formas de participação social. Sendo assim, dentro dessas representações sócio-políticas de agricultores, que direciona a pesquisa, a atenção especial é dada à construção conceitual das categorias camponês/agricultor, assim como, os símbolos e o desempenho desses agricultores familiares enquanto grupo representativo nessas associações e na política do município. Analisam-se as práticas “clientelistas” como as trocas de favores e outras que acabam por gerar um tipo específico de relações que atravessam a estrutura de poder e as instituições nelas envolvidas, por um lado; e, por outro lado, reforçam relações do poder local e outras formas de dominação que interferem nas práticas e autonomia das associações de agricultores no município das Correntes. Neste estudo privilegiamos os métodos e técnicas antropológicas para a construção de uma etnografia que desse conta da trama de relações sociais que se desenvolvem nesse campo de estudo. A bibliografia selecionada inclui contribuições sócio-antropológicas ao estudo das sociedades camponesas e da política local. Logo, a dissertação contribui para a compreensão do lugar das associações como base da representação social e política dos agricultores familiares, na conjuntura dos movimentos sociais no campo da agricultura e na relação com o poder local. Quanto ao trabalho de campo, foi realizado no período de dezembro de 2014 até o mês de abril de 2016. / This dissertation has as goal the study of socio-political representations of farmers, participants from associations in the municipality of Correntes Town with special attention to farmers in members of the community associations of the Lajes property and Balaio property. Thus researching has been done as a most relevant aspects of political representation, through relations between farmers in those institutions. And while parts of the social movement of farmers, their affinities and opened by local political disputes; as well as its rites, actions and forms of social participation. Thus, within these socio-political representations of farmers, which directs the research, special attention is given from the conceptual construction of peasant/farmer categories, as well as, the symbols and the performance of these family farmers while representative group in these associations and social and political reproduction. It examines the practices "clientelistic" as the trading of favors and other which generate a specific type of relationships that cross the power structure and the institutions involved in them, on the one hand; and, on the other hand, strengthen local power relations and other forms of domination that interfere with practices and autonomy of associations of farmers in the municipality of Correntes Town. In this study we focus on the methods and techniques for the construction of an anthropological Ethnography that plot between social relationships that develop in this study area. The selected bibliography includes socio-anthropological contributions to the study of peasant societies and local policy. Thus, the dissertation contributes to the understanding of the place of associations as the basis of social and political representation of family farmers, in the context of social movements in the agriculture area and in the relationship with the local government. The field work was conducted during the period of December 2014 until April 2016.
