Previous issue date: 2017-06-21 / Coordena??o de Aperfei?oamento de Pessoal de N?vel Superior (CAPES) / Introdu??o: Com as oportunidades crescentes para ingressar no meio acad?mico, anualmente, milhares de pessoas cruzam as portas das universidades. Neste novo cen?rio, o estudante depara-se com in?meros fatores estressores frente aos novos desafios. Objetivo: Analisar os n?veis de estresse e sua associa??o com o comportamento alimentar dos discentes da gradua??o em Enfermagem de uma universidade p?blica. M?todo: Trata-se de um estudo transversal, observacional, com abordagem quantitativa, realizado com 280 estudantes do curso de gradua??o em Enfermagem. As informa??es foram coletadas de 20 de Fevereiro a 21 de Mar?o de 2017, atrav?s de tr?s question?rios: Question?rio para levantamento dos dados sociodemogr?ficos, escala para Avalia??o de Estresse em Estudantes de Enfermagem e o Question?rio Holand?s do Comportamento Alimentar. A aplica??o dos instrumentos ocorreu em sala de aula simultaneamente, ap?s o per?odo de realiza??o das primeiras provas avaliativas e mediante autoriza??o da coordena??o das disciplinas. Os hor?rios para a coleta foram pr?-estabelecidos pela coordena??o das disciplinas, distribu?dos nos turnos: matutino e vespertino. Todos os participantes foram orientados sobre os procedimentos para coleta de dados, com tempo de aplica??o m?xima de 15 minutos. Resultados: Com a realiza??o das an?lises, foi poss?vel estabelecer os n?veis de estresse por dom?nio de acordo com o per?odo do curso dos estudantes. Corroborando para o seguinte resultado considerando o mais elevado n?vel de estresse em rela??o a cada dom?nio: atividade pr?tica e comunica??o profissional maior n?vel no 4? per?odo; gerenciamento de tempo, 9? per?odo; ambiente e forma??o profissional, 5? per?odo; e atividade te?rica, no 7? per?odo. Conclus?o: Constatou-se mediante o delineamento dos resultados correla??o significativa entre tr?s dos seis dom?nios da escala de estresse e o comportamento alimentar dos discentes do curso de Enfermagem. As an?lises demonstraram correla??o positiva entre os dom?nios comunica??o profissional e gerenciamento do tempo versus comportamento alimentar, evidenciando que quanto maior o estresse maior a compuls?o alimentar. O dom?nio forma??o profissional versus comportamento alimentar, apresentou correla??o negativa quando relacionados, demonstrando que quanto maior o estresse menor a compuls?o alimentar. Neste sentindo, faz- se relevante o desenvolvimento de pesquisas futuras na tentativa de desenvolver a??es e estrat?gias que visem trabalhar a orienta??o destes discentes ao lidar com os est?mulos estressores na tentativa de control?-los, e, consequentemente, minimizar os impactos do estresse nas atividades de vida di?ria deste estudante universit?rio. / Introduction: With the increasing opportunities to enter the academic milieu, thousands of people cross the doors of universities every year. In this new scenario, the student faces numerous stressors in the face of new challenges. Objective: To analyze the levels of stress and its association with the eating behavior of undergraduate students in Nursing at a public university. Method: This is a cross-sectional, observational study with a quantitative approach carried out with 280 undergraduate students in Nursing. The information was collected from February 20 to March 21, 2017, through three questionnaires: Questionnaire for the survey of sociodemographic data, Scale for Stress Assessment in Nursing Students and the Dutch Questionnaire on Eating Behavior. The application of the instruments occurred in the classroom simultaneously, after the period of the first evaluation tests and with the authorization of the disciplinary coordination. The schedules for the collection were pre-established by the coordination of the disciplines, distributed in the shifts: morning and evening. All participants were instructed on procedures for data collection, with a maximum application time of 15 minutes. Results: With the analysis, it was possible to establish the levels of stress per domain according to the period of the students' course. Corroborating to the following result considering the highest level of stress in relation to each domain: practical activity and professional communication higher level in the 4th period; Time management, 9th period; Environment and vocational training, 5th period; And theoretical activity, in the 7th period. Conclusion: It was found by designing the results a significant correlation between three of the six domains of the stress scale and the eating behavior of the students of the Nursing course. The analyzes showed a positive correlation between the domains of professional communication and time management versus eating behavior, evidencing that the greater the stress the greater the binge eating. The domain professional training versus eating behavior, presented negative correlation when related, demonstrating that the higher the stress the less the binge eating. In this sense, it is relevant to develop future research in the attempt to develop actions and strategies aimed at working the orientation of these students in dealing with stressors in an attempt to control them, and, consequently, to minimize the impacts of stress on activities of daily life of this university student.
