The topic of youth political participation has been a constant subject of discussion in academ-ic debates. On a number of theoretical and methodological perspectives, the trilogy, youth, political culture and participation, once again enter the academic agenda, especially in Brazil from the youth mobilizations of 2013. The research "Youth and Political Participation: Uni-versity of Recife "had as general objective to identify the spaces and the forms of political participation of the university students of the great Recife. More specifically, the research aimed to: a) verify what spaces are present in higher education institutions that allow the po-litical participation of young students; B) understanding the relationship of young people to these spaces; C) to identify if the participation of students occurs through conventional and non-conventional forms of participation. The methodological process consisted of a review of the literature on youth, politics and political participation. Semi structured interviews were conducted with young students from six higher education institutions, all located in the geo-graphic boundary known as Greater Recife. Regarding the results, the research data show that young people, despite denying politics, use conventional and nonconventional spaces and forms of participation, mixing modalities and forms of participation, as well as occupying both types of spaces, Conventional and non-conventional
