313208.pdf: 1631409 bytes, checksum: cad042d367980392213002ebb5a91574 (MD5) / O presente trabalho teve como objetivo elucidar as razões que levaram a empresa catarinense Perdigão a instalar aquela que viria a ser sua maior planta industrial em atividade no município no sudoeste goiano de Rio Verde, bem como outras duas fábricas em município localizados na mesma microrregião, Mineiros e Jataí. Paralelamente, buscou-se analisar o funcionamento desse complexo agroindustrial trans-municipal e os impactos socioeconômicos gerados em Rio Verde. Para tanto, o trabalho envolveu pesquisa bibliográfica, contemplando o resgate histórico entre as duas partes envolvidas, a empresa Perdigão e a microrregião Sudoeste de Goiás. Posteriormente, foi realizado trabalho de campo envolvendo os municípios e diversos atores empresariais e institucionais envolvidos na cadeia produtiva em questão. Além de atender ao crescimento do consumo de seus produtos, tanto internamente como via exportações, evidenciou-se que esse movimento da empresa em direção ao Centro-Oeste guarda relação com o processo conhecido como "globalização", com a evolução dos hábitos alimentares e com o objetivo de produzir a partir de maiores escalas, padronização e conteúdo tecnológico. Depois da instalação da empresa, Rio Verde assistiu a um expressivo crescimento populacional e dinamização de sua economia, envolvendo as atividades industriais, rurais, comerciais e de serviços. Ademais, a instalação da empresa em Rio Verde também teve efeitos negativos para o município, gerando aumento da violência, maiores riscos ligados a impactos ambientais indesejáveis, entre outros.<br> / Abstract : The present study aimed to elucidate the reasons behind the catarinense company Perdigão on installing what would be its biggest industrial plant in operation in the municipality of Rio Verde, in southwest of Goiás, as well as two other plants located in two other cities in the same micro-region, Mineiros and Jataí. In parallel, it was attempted to analyze the functioning of this trans-municipal agro-industrial complex, as well as the socioeconomic impacts generated in Rio Verde. Therefore, the work involved literature, contemplating the historic rescue of the two involved parts, the company Perdigão and the Southwest of Goias. Later on, a fieldwork was performed involving the municipalities and various corporate and institutional actors involved in the production chain in question. In addition, to meeting the growing consumption of their products both domestically and through exports, it became clear that this movement toward the Midwest is related to the process known as "globalization", the evolution of eating habits and the goal of producing on larger scales, as well as the aim to increase the standardization and the technological content. After installation of the company, Rio Verde has seen a significant growth in population as the dynamism of its economy, involving industrial, rural, trading and services activities. Moreover, the installation of the company in Rio Verde also had negative effects on the city, like increasing violence, bigger risks associated to undesirable environmental impacts, among others.
