No. of bitstreams: 0 / Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar as características e particularidades dos jornais de bairro por meio de metodologia de pesquisa bibliografia e estudo de caso, demonstrando o funcionamento desses veículos de comunicação inseridos na realidade de pequenas comunidades. / This assignment's objective is to identify the local newspaper's characteristics and particulars, that are characterized as being media inserted in small communities' reality, scattered in all national territory and that appearred as the press' alternative, whose objective is to deal with necessities of communication particular to these localities that, most of times, are not the focus of a big journal's news. To give an example of these media's particular, its characteristics and to demonstrate the local newspaper's operation, has been carried out a study of a local newspaper that deal with the north region of Florianópolis Island. There are several subjects in this context, that begin with the communication's organization in Brazil itself and extend to subjects that concern with professional ethics.
