Através da etnografia de três sítios e suas respectivas casas - representativos do universo doméstico da Colônia São Domingos - busco apreende rsuas relações socioespaciais no cotidiano. Por vicissitudes históricas e pela maleabilidade do território pantaneiro, a casa colonense vai sendo produzida e reproduzida nos diversos usos esignificados espaciais. Assim, pode-se dizer que o conceito cultural de casa opera na constituição, invenção e reprodução dos padrões morais, da reciprocidade e da identidade socioétnica - do ethos - que conforma o grupo local. Esta produção e reprodução no cotidiano é o próprio sistema colonense - o modo de vida - que se concretiza histórica e socialmente através das redes de relações de casas e entre casas. Deste modo, o estudo antropológico do espaço permite compreender que a concepção de mundo para o colonense está regulada em uma relação mútua, não apenas pelo convívio familiar e social, mas também através das relações com o próprio território, em sua sazonalidade.
The colonenses are a specific group of people from the Pantanal region who have for four generations inhabited and interacted in the same territory controlled by seasonal variation. Through the ethnography of three sites and their respective houses - representing the domestic universe of the São Domingos colony - I tried to capture their everyday social-spatial relations. Due to historical reasons and malleability of the Pantanal territory, the colonense house has been produced and reproduced in various uses and spatial meanings. Thus one can say that the cultural concept of house works through the constitution, invention and reproduction of moral patterns, reciprocity and social-ethnic identity (ethos), which form the local group. This production and reproduction of daily lives is the colonense system itself - their lifestyle - which is historically and socially solidified through a network of relations of houses and between houses. Therefore, the anthropologic study of the space makes it possible to understand that the world concept to the colonense is regulated in a mutual relation involving not only the family and social interactions, but also the relation with the territory itself and its seasonal character.
