Previous issue date: 2013 / Na recém ordem mundial, surgida após o fim da Guerra Fria, observa-se uma maior margem de inserção regional, para determinados atores, alcunhados por parte da literatura de Relações Internacionais como Potências Regionais. Em virtude do relaxamento das tensões impostas pelo término da contenda bipolar sistêmica, estes atores detêm uma maior margem de manobra para sistematizar a ordem em meio às suas regiões. Neste contexto, o Brasil apresenta-se como uma país central para a América do Sul, por ser um elo entre duas Sub-Regiões do continente: o Cone Sul e a Andino-Amazônica. Justifica-se este protagonismo pela interdependência deste país em relação as ameaças transnacionais mais prementes da região como narcotráfico, crime organizado e as rivalidades históricas entre os países da Sub-Região Andino-Amazônica.Esta dissertação propõe-se a fazer uma avaliação dos esforços brasileiros destinados à promoção da estabilidade, na esfera de Segurança Internacional e Defesa, da Sub-região Andino-Amazônica. <br> / Abstract : The recent world order that emerged after the Cold War, there is a
greater margin of regional involvment, for certain actors, nicknamed,
Regional Powers by the literature of International Relations. Due to the
relaxation of the stresses imposed by the termination of bipolar systemic
strife, these actors hold greater leeway to systematize order amid their
regions.
In this context, Brazil presents itself as a central country to South
America, due to the fact to be a link between two sub-regions of the
continent: the Southern Cone and the Andean Amazon. This role is
justified by the interdependence of this country regarding transnational
threats most pressing area as drug trafficking, organized crime and the
historic rivalries between the countries of Sub-Andean-Amazon region.
This dissertation proposes to make an assessment of the Brazilian efforts
towards the promotion of stability in the sphere of International Security
and Defense, of the Sub-Andean-Amazon region.
