Previous issue date: 2013 / A presente pesquisa centra-se na análise do Instituto Teológico de Santa Catarina, ITESC, criado em 1973. O momento histórico em que se dá tal criação coincide com a década seguinte ao Concílio Vaticano II e as disputas relativas às diferentes leituras do mesmo referentes à formação sacerdotal, à maneira de se estudar e fazer teologia, enfim, quanto ao jeito de ser-Igreja e ser-cristão. Diante desta realidade em efervescência o bispado catarinense decide retirar seus seminaristas do Seminário gaúcho de Viamão, apelidado por muitos de ?Seminário Vermelho?, em virtude de atitudes contestatórias em relação à Ditadura Militar e a proximidade de muitos de seus alunos a UNE. Ao buscar identificar os discursos teológico-filosóficos produzidos por uma intelectualidade católica nas décadas que se seguiram ao Concílio Vaticano II, este trabalho reflete sobre as relações de poder em jogo no mercado simbólico da construção de subjetividades e de discursos que permeiam as relações sociais na historia, de modo especial no interior do próprio Instituto Teológico. Para tanto são analisadas as relações de poder estabelecidas entre os intelectuais (teólogos, estudantes de teologia) e a hierarquia da Igreja Católica, as relações de poder estabelecidas entre os próprios intelectuais, entre estes e a comunidade leiga, assim como também entre os estudantes de teologia e seus formadores. Estão em jogo, portanto, as intrincadas relações entre os sujeitos individuais e entre estes e as instituições. Catolicismos em disputa retrata, portanto, o embate entre discursos contrários e, às vezes também contraditórios, no interior da Igreja Católica e, de modo mais particular, no interior do Instituto Teológico de Santa Catarina - ITESC. <br> / The present research focuses on the analysis of the Theological Institute of Santa Catarina State (Instituto Teológico de Santa Catarina, or ITESC), created in 1973. The historical moment of its creation coincides with the following decade of the Second Vatican Council and the disputes relating to the different readings of it concerning priestly formation, the way of studying and doing theology, in sum, on the way of being Church and being Christian. Faced to this effervescent reality, the bishopric of State Santa Catarina decides to withdraw its seminarists from the Seminary of Viamão, in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, dubbed by many as "Red Seminary," because of its contestatory attitudes in relation to the Military Dictatorship and the proximity of many of its students to the Brazilian Nacional Union of Students (União Nacional dos Estudantes, or UNE). By seeking to identify the theological-philosophical discourses produced by Catholic intellectuals in the decades that followed the Second Vatican Council, this work reflects on the power relations involved in the symbolic market of the construction of subjectivities and the discourses that permeate the social relations in history, especially inside the Theological Institute. Therefore, it will be analyzed the power relations established between intellectuals (theologians, theological students) and the Catholic Church hierarchy, the power relations established among intellectuals themselves, between them and the lay community, as well as between students of theology and their religious formators. Therefore, the intricate relationship among individual subjects and between them and the institutions are at stake. Catholicism(s) in dispute portrays, thus, the clash among opposing discourses (that sometimes are also contradictory) inside the Catholic Church and, more particularly, inside the Theological Institute of Santa Catarina State (Instituto Teológico de Santa Catarina, or ITESC).
