Previous issue date: 2017 / Analisa Instrumentos Normativos de Descrição Arquivística desenvolvidos em diferentes países, com a finalidade de verificar a descrição de conteúdo nestes documentos. Trata das vertentes teóricas do Tratamento Temático da Informação (TTI): catalogação de assunto, indexação e análise documental, assim como seus respectivos objetos, sendo eles: produtos, instrumentos e processos. Apresenta correntes teóricas do pensamento arquivístico: tradicional, records management e integrada, assim como discorre sobre o histórico da descrição arquivística e o desenvolvimento de manuais, normas e orientações que foram criadas na intenção de padronizar o processo de descrição arquivística. Realiza levantamento de Instrumentos Normativos de Descrição Arquivística (INDA) em diferentes países, tendo sido coletados e caracterizados doze que se apresentam em língua portuguesa, espanhola e inglesa. Dentre esses, foram selecionados oito INDA que contemplam a descrição de conteúdo em sua estrutura, possibilitando assim a análise da existência ou não de características das vertentes teóricas do TTI e a identificação dos aspectos indicados pela literatura da área de TTI: processos, produtos e instrumentos. Como resultado, observa-se que cinco INDA contém elementos de descrição de conteúdo: MAD, DACS, NOBRADE, ISAD (G) e NEDA; e três não contém em sua estrutura esclarecimentos sobre a descrição de conteúdo para as finalidades desta pesquisa: RAD, NEDA e NUDA. Dentre os quatro instrumentos normativos de descrição arquivística que apresentam informações sobre a descrição de conteúdo, analisados por meio das características de vertentes teóricas do tratamento temático da informação, dois apresentam elementos relacionados ao processo de como fazer a descrição de conteúdo, característica da vertente francesa de Análise documental; três apresentam elementos relacionados aos produtos originários deste processo, características da vertente norte-americana catalogação de assuntos; quatro apresentam elementos relacionados aos instrumentos que auxiliam no processo e desenvolvimento dos produtos, características da vertente inglesa indexação. Conclui que documentos de arquivo possuem características específicas, que precisam ser analisadas de forma diferente dos bibliográficos, no entanto, é possível estabelecer diálogo entre as áreas de TTI e Arquivologia, visando a melhoria do acesso à informação. Portanto, uma das contribuições dessa pesquisa relaciona-se justamente à transposição desses conceitos e teorias oriundos da Ciência da Informação ao contexto do documento de arquivo. Contribui com o avanço das discussões acerca do desenvolvimento teórico e prático do Tratamento Temático da Informação na Arquivologia.<br> / Abstract : It analyzes the Normative Instruments of Archival Description developed in different countries, in order to verify the description of content in these documents. It deals with the theoretical aspects of the information subject treatment: subject cataloging, indexing and subject analysis, as well as their respective objects, being: products, instruments and processes. It presents the theoretical currents of archival thinking: traditional, records management and integrated, as well as discusses the history of archival description and the development of manuals, norms and guidelines that were created in order to standardize the process of archival description. It carries out survey of Normative Instruments of Archival Description (INDA) in different countries, having been collected and characterized twelve that present themselves in Portuguese, Spanish and English language. Among these, eight INDAs were selected, which contemplate the description of content in its structure, thus enabling the analysis of the existence or not of characteristics of the theoretical aspects of the TTI and the identification of the aspects indicated in the literature of the TTI area: processes, products and instruments . As a result, five INDAs contain description of content elements: MAD, DACS, NOBRADE, ISAD (G), and NEDA; And three does not contain in its structure clarifications on the description of content for the purposes of this research: RAD, NEDA and NUDA. Among the four Normative Instruments of Archival Description that present information about the description of content, analyzed through the theoretical aspects of the information subject treatment, two present elements related to the process of how to description of content, characteristic of the French part of subject analysis; Three present elements related to the products originating from this process, characteristics of the North American slope subject cataloging; Four present elements related to the instruments that assist in the process and development of the products, characteristics of the English slope indexing. It concludes that archival documents have specific characteristics, which need to be analyzed in a different way from the bibliographical ones, however, it is possible to establish a dialogue between the TTI and Archivology areas, aiming to improve the access to information. Therefore, one of the contributions of this research is related precisely to the transposition of these concepts and theories originating from Information Science to the context of the archival document. It contributes to the advancement of the discussions about the theoretical and practical development of the information subject treatment in Archivology.
