Previous issue date: 2017 / Este trabalho objetivou identificar e, consequentemente, analisar a partir das falas, dos silêncios e das reações das entrevistadas, quais outros aspectos estão por detrás da acirrada busca feminina pela Cirurgia Plástica Estética (CPE) no Brasil contemporâneo, além da frequente justificativa que aponta para questão da autoestima como principal motivo. Por outro lado, buscou-se constatar quais aspectos compõem o perfil do corpo feminino ideal nos dias atuais no Brasil e, por último, analisar o aspecto mais importante deste corpo ideal. Foram entrevistadas doze pessoas, onze mulheres e um homem. Destas onze mulheres, dez já submeteram a algum tipo de CPE, salienta- se que uma delas é transexual. A outra entrevistada também é transexual, entretanto, apenas submeteu-se a aplicação de silicone industrial por finalidades estéticas. Há também um homem transexual em fase de preparação para realização da CPE de retirada das mamas. Todas as entrevistadas são moradoras da região da grande Florianópolis. As nove mulheres, com exceção da mulher transexual, são estudantes da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), oito no nível de graduação e uma no nível de mestrado. Das duas transexuais, uma é graduada pela UFSC a outra não tem curso superior, o homem transexual também não tem curso superior. O resultado aponta para a de mulher branca, alta, magra, jovem, cabelos louros/lisos, nádegas e seios grandes, como perfil de mulher ideal no Brasil contemporâneo e, destaca o seio como aspecto mais relevante deste corpo. Revelou-se que o emprego, o interesse nas relações afetivas/não afetivas e ser visível para chamar atenção das pessoas foram as principais motivações por detrás da incontornável busca feminina pela CPE. Por último, foi possível perceber como o sistema capitalista induz as pessoas ?coercitivamente? a esta prática, que outrora buscava-se por livre vontade, com a finalidade de ficar linda e sentir bem consigo para aumentar as suas autoestima, mas que nos dias atuais, configura-se como uma necessidade, a fim de poder acessar benefícios. / Abstract : This work aimed to identify and, consequently, to analyze from the speeches, the silences and interviews reactions, what other aspects are behind the feminine fierce search for the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (APS) in contemporary Brazil, besides the frequent justification that points to question of self- esteem as the main reason. On the other hand, we tried to verify which aspects make up the profile of the ideal female body in the present day in Brazil and, lastly, to analyze the most important aspect of this ideal body. Twelve people, eleven women and a man were interviewed. Of these eleven women, ten have already undergone some type of APS, it is emphasized that one of them is transsexual. The other interviewee is also transsexual, however, she just submitted to the application of industrial silicone for aesthetic purposes. There is also a transsexual man in the preparation phase to APS breast removal. All the interviewees live in Florianópolis great region. The nine women, with the exception of the transsexual woman, are students at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC), eight at the undergraduate level and one at the master's level. Of two transsexuals, one is graduated from UFSC and other does not have high education degree, the transsexual man also does not get high education degree. The result points to a tall, thin, young white woman with blond/straight hair, buttocks and huge breasts, as the ideal woman profile in contemporary Brazil, and highlights the breast as the most relevant aspect of this body. It was revealed that employment, interest in affective/non-affective relations and being visible to attract people's attention were the main motivations behind the inevitable female search for APS. Finally, it was possible to perceive how the capitalist system induces people "coercively" to this practice, which was formely sought by people free initiative, in order to be beautiful and feel good with themselves, increasing their self-esteem, but that in the present days it?s configured as a necessity in order to access things.
