O objetivo principal está centrado na leitura desses contos publicados mais tarde sob forma de livro com o título de Safra macabra e no enquadramento deles em duas categorias: uma de caráter não serial e outra de caráter serial, conforme o conceito de serial em Bruno Monfort. Outra intencionalidade busca apoio na clássica divisão de Todorov em policial de enigma e policial noir. Além disso, a leitura desses contos é acrescida, na parte introdutória, pela visão de vários outros teóricos do gênero em torno dos elementos estruturais da narrativa policial: as duas histórias, a dupla de detetives, o crime, o locus e a revelação do criminoso. Para cumprir tais objetivos, o trabalho desdobra-se, além da Introdução, em mais três etapas. A unidade segunda enfoca traços da biografia e considerações sobre a bibliografia de Patrícia Galvão, escritora pouco lembrada pelas suas obras e sempre mencionada por sua luta social. A terceira é constituída por um prólogo, que busca contextualizar a revista Detective, na qual os contos foram publicados inicialmente sob o pseudônimo de King Shelter, e por duas leituras analíticas, uma referente aos cinco contos não seriais e outra aos quatro contos de caráter serial. Em ambas as categorias é utilizada a leitura que segue o padrão do enigma e do noir, conforme a visão de Todorov, o que é acrescido de elementos de outros autores citados na Introdução. A leitura privilegia os nove contos publicados em Safra macabra, e a sua metodologia parte da síntese de cada narrativa, seguindo com a identificação ou não dos elementos constituintes do cânone policial estabelecidos por tais autores. Encerram o trabalho questionamentos dos resultados na leitura do corpus, reflexões atinentes ao embasamento teórico sobre o gênero e alguns dados históricos cuja finalidade é situar a autora nos quadros do gênero policial na literatura brasileira.
This work will focus on the hidden side of Patrícia Galvão`s book represented by the writing of published police stories portrayed at Detective magazine in the 40´s. The main objective is centered on these stories later turned into a novel under the title Safra macabra (Macabre Harvest), and also dividing them into two categories: one in the form of a non-serial-like story, and the other one in the form of serial-like story in accordance with Bruno Monfort´s serial concept. Another intention is that of looking for support on Todorov´s classical division at police enigma and police noir. Beside, the reading of these novels is, at the introductory part, increased by the vision of other theoretical scholars of the genre, around the structural elements of the police narrative: the two stories, the two detectives, the crime, the locus and the identification of the criminal. In order to achieve these goals, the work extends itself into three more phases plus the introduction. Chapter two will focus on the biography and considerations over Patrícia Galvão´s bibliography, a not very well-know writer regarding her works, but always remembered for her social struggle. The third phase is made up of a prologue, which searchs to contextualize the Detective magazine, by which, the stories were firstly published under the pseudonym King Shelter, and also by two analytical readings; one of them consists of five non-serial stories, and another one four serial-like stories. In both categories the reading following the enigma and the noir pattern is used according to Todorov´s view, and which is increased by other author`s elements mentioned at the introduction. The reading favors the nine stories published at Safra macabra and also its methodology, part of each narrative, by following or not, the identification of elements making part of the police canon established by such authors. The work ends with queries on corpus reading results, reflections relating to the theoretical basis on the genre, and some historical data whose end is to fit the author into the police genre of the Brazilian Literature.
