A pesquisa aprofunda na questão do campo político, mostrando como no Festival de Dança de Joinville acontece um processo de criação e construção do que é considerado cultura e qual é sua relação com a construção de cidadania na região e no Brasil.
Da mesma forma, esta pesquisa analisa o evento em questão como um espaço onde a dança aparece como o grande significante e "guarda-chuva" dos diversos significados de cultura e arte bem como dos discursos sobre democracia e inclusão social, presentes nele.
Os objetivos desta pesquisa foram: conhecer o processo de criação, produção ou construção cultural que tem acontecido na história do Festival de Dança de Joinville. Analisar por meio do acontecido neste evento a relação entre dança, arte e política graças ao valor e significado atribuídos a tais conceitos ou categorias pelos nativos envolvidos no Festival. Explorar e conhecer porque esse tipo de evento se consolida como plataforma propícia para a emissão de discursos sobre cultura e identidade; analisar qual que é a relação entre este tipo de eventos e a construção de cidadania na região sul e no Brasil.
This research analyzes the Festival de Dança de Joinville, as a space where the political thing is expressed by means of the use of the category art and of the speeches on culture, identity and democracy, exhibiting how events of this kind - and that involve considered artistic manifestations as the dance - are a space favoured in the construction and consolidation of local, regional and national identities.
The work penetrates into the question of the political field, showing how in the Festival de Dança de Joinville there happens a process of creation and construction of what can be considered to be culture and which is it relation with the construction of citizenship in the region and in Brazil.
In the same way, this research analyzes the event as a space where the dance appears as the great significant and "umbrella" of the diverse meanings of culture and art, as well as of the speeches on democracy and social incorporation, presents on it.
The aims of this research were among others: knows the process of creation, production and cultural construction happened in the history of Festival de Dança de Joinville; to analyze, by means of that happened in this event, the relation between dance, art and politics, thanks to the value and meaning attributed to such concepts or categories by the people involved in the Festival; to explore and to know why this kind of event is consolidated as propitious platform for the emission of speeches about culture and identity; as well as analyzes which is the relation between this sort of events and the construction of citizenship in the south region and in the Brazil.
