TESE_2008_DulceECBarros.pdf: 1315995 bytes, checksum: 31e5ff227214710a8c40861ca0dc91d3 (MD5) / Com base no arcabouço teórico-metodológico oferecido pela Análise do Discurso Crítica, a presente pesquisa tem como objetivo primordial estudar, desde uma perspectiva lingüístico-discursiva, a argumentação em textos produzidos para serem levados ao Plenário da Câmara dos Deputados do Congresso Nacional, com enfoque na mulher. O estudo encontra-se matizado por uma perspectiva de gênero social, bem como de gênero textual. Interessam as formas com que o feminino emerge nos 30 discursos que formam o corpus base da pesquisa, cuja titularidade pertence a deputados e deputadas. O estudo, além de mostrar as técnicas argumentativas e as estratégias discursivas comuns a esse gênero discursivo, põe em evidência o papel desempenhado pelas categorias lingüístico- discursivas quando, nesses discursos/textos, são feitas referências ao universo social feminino. O estudo busca lançar luz sobre o modo como os atores políticos (deputados e deputadas) apresentam o gênero feminino na prática discursiva parlamentar. A partir da interação dialógica existente entre a proposta de Fairclough (2003) concernente à análise textual socialmente orientada e a gramática funcional de Halliday (1994), pôde-se mostrar empiricamente que as categorias lingüístico-discursivas se prestam ao entendimento das posições ideológicas assumidas pelos/as parlamentares frente ao contexto social e cultural em que seus discursos são produzidos. A pesquisa revela que a prática discursiva parlamentar sofre influência do contexto institucional em que os discursos são produzidos. Tudo aquilo que diz respeito ao universo social feminino configura instrumento útil ao agir parlamentar. No entanto, a prática discursiva parlamentar feminina revela que as mulheres, ao adentrarem o território do campo da política, têm contribuído para a transformação das estruturas de convenção que subjazem aos eventos discursivos reais. Diferentemente dos seus pares, elas se apresentam em seus discursos sob a forma de suas reais condições de existência.
_________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The Critical Discourse Analysis’s theoretical and methodological framework is employed to
investigate as its primordial aim and within a linguistic and discursive perspective the
argumentation in texts, focused on female issues, produced for the Plenary Session of the people’s representatives in the Brazilian National Congress. Analysis is imbued with social gender and textual genre aspects. The ways the feminine emerges in thirty discourses, written by male and female parliamentary representatives, comprise its main interest and constitute the research’s textual corpus. Besides revealing the argumentative techniques and the discursive strategies proper to the above-mentioned discursive genre, current research evidences the role of linguistic and discursive categories within which references to the feminine social milieu may be found. Investigation puts in the limelight the manner male and female political representatives present the feminine gender in parliamentary discursive practice. Analyses that integrate discourse’s social theory, such as those by Fairclough (2003)
through the functional grammar by Halliday (1994), have shown that linguistic and discursive categories actually help in the understanding of ideological positions proposed by male and female parliamentary representatives within the social and cultural context in which they are produced. Research shows that parliamentary discursive practice is affected by the institutional context in which the discourses are produced. All factors dealing with the feminine social milieu is a useful tool in parliamentary activities. However, feminine
parliamentary discourse reveals that women, participating in the political field, have contributed towards the transformation of the convention structures that underlie concrete discursive events. Contrastingly from their peers, in their discourses females present themselves under the guise of their concrete existential conditions.
