1988_TakakoNawa.pdf: 3452855 bytes, checksum: 43de1ee5382ad4a2fe6be9866ec9bd12 (MD5) / O objetivo deste trabalho e examinar a conversa bilíngüe dos nipo-brasileiros residentes em Brasília, a partir de um enfoque sociolingüístico, enfatizando-se o aspecto estratégico-discursivo da interação. Como uma das metas desta pesquisa, tentou-se explicar, em um sentido mais amplo, a relação existente entre japonês e português em seu contexto histórico- social; em um nível mais restrito, analisou-se os usos e os processos da mudança de código, mediante uma tipologia de situações comunicativas. O resultado deste trabalho mostrou que a escolha da língua depende, crucialmente, das relações existentes entre os interlocutores e dos conhecimentos comuns compartilhados por eles. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The purpose of this study is to investigate the bilingual conversation of Japanese-Brasilians, living in Brasilia, from a socialinguistic point of view, stressing the discourse strategy aspect of the interaction- One of the goals of this research is to explain, in a broad sense, the relationship between Japanese and Portuguese in its historical and social context. At a more restricted level, we have analysed the use and the process of the phenoinenon of code switching in many comrnunicative situations. The result of this study showed that the language choice depends on, crucially, the relationship between the interactants and the background knowledes. shared by them.
