Previous issue date: 2007 / Apresentamos e analisamos os projetos urbanísticos e arquitetônicos de Attilio Corrêa Lima para Goiânia no período de 1932 a 1935, nos seus aspectos morfológicos e simbólicos, a partir de fontes primárias. O ideal estético idealizado pelo urbanista Corrêa Lima para a nova capital do Estado de Goiás, traduz em traços e em símbolos, os discursos do interventor Pedro Ludovico Teixeira de construir “um novo tempo”, uma modernidade em pleno sertão. A partir da leitura dos projetos, dos documentos e das imagens resgatamos um período da história da construção da cidade de Goiânia envolta em mitos e contradições. _______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / We present and analyse the Attilio Corrêa Lima’s urbanism and archicteture project for Goiânia developed during the period from 1932 to 1935, in its morphologic and symbolic aspects, band on primary sources. The aesthetic ideal idealized by Corrêa Lima city planner for the new capital of the State of Goiás, translates into traces and symbols the speeches of the interventor Pedro Ludovico Teixeira to build “a new time”, a space of modernity in the Brasilian hinterland. Starting with the interpretation of the projects, of other documents and of the numerous drafts and drawings, this thesis recovers a decisive period of the history of the construction of the city of Goiânia, surrounded by myths and contradictions.
