___________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This is a descriptive transversal study of serial cases with clinical and laboratorial data on Hansen´s disease correlating the variables: agreement between ML FLOW and baciloscopy, sex and age stripe’s .This study carried out from March to October 2006 on the Brasilia’s Universitary Hospital , to evaluate 174 individuals shared among three groups: 46 multibacillars leprosy patients (G1), 37 reational leprosy patients (G2) and domiciliars contacts. The age stripe’s analysed were from 0 to 14 years old, 15 to 40 years, and over 40 years old. The soropositiviness’ agreement with other variables were evaluated through Kappa index. The average soropositiviness of 39,1% was major than the baciloscopy index of 35, 6% . Young men between 15 to 40 years old were prevallent , confirming the literature data´s. Seventen new cases were detected, corresponding to 18,68% of contact group and 48,68% of reactional patients had seral positivity by the ML FLOW test , indicating a bigger need of management of this endemy.
