Previous issue date: 2008 / O trabalho em questão tem por objetivo reconstruir a memória do Bairro da Vila Nova através das lembranças de seus velhos moradores que chegaram à Goiânia entre as décadas de 1930 e 1950. Noticiada por todo o território nacional, a construção da nova capital atraiu um contingente expressivo de pessoas em busca de trabalho, dando início a um processo de ocupação desordenada da cidade com a invasão de parte das terras públicas do Estado. Para cá vieram migrantes de distintas regiões do País, muitos originários do Nordeste do Brasil, os quais se dedicaram à construção da nova capital. Estes ocuparam ilegalmente a área leste da cidade, espaço que veio a se constituir no Bairro da Vila Nova. A pesquisa foi realizada, fundamentalmente, com a história oral. Busquei, por meio dos relatos dos moradores da Vila Nova, coletados no decorrer de sucessivas entrevistas, reconstruir a memória do Bairro, analisando as diferentes narrativas que dão vida e estruturam as suas falas. Ao identificar as suas práticas cotidianas, construídas no decorrer de sua existência no Bairro, foi possível conhecer os vínculos estabelecidos entre esses indivíduos com o lugar em que vivem, fundamentais para a composição desse trabalho. Os moradores formam uma comunidade de memória, cujas lembranças perpassam toda a trajetória do Bairro, do seu nascimento até o tempo presente (2008). Em suas narrativas, o antes e o agora convivem, mostrando que, na memória, distintas temporalidades não se excluem mutuamente. _________________________________________________________________________________________
ABSTRACT / The current work aims to reconstruct the history of the District of Vila Nova through the memories of their old residents who arrived in Goiania between the decades of 1930 and 1950. Noticed throughout the national territory, the construction of the new capital attracted a significant contingent of people in search of work, initiating a process of disorderly occupation of the city with the invasion of part of public land from the state. Migrants came here from different regions of the country, many originating in northeastern Brazil, which is devoted to the construction of new capital. These migrants illegally occupied the area east of the city, which has space to be in the neighborhood of Vila Nova. The survey was conducted, mainly with the oral history. I tried, through reports of the residents of Vila Nova, collected during successive interviews, to reconstruct the history of the neighborhood, examining the different narratives that give life and structure their words. By identifying their everyday practices, built in the course of its existence in the quarter, it was possible to know the links between those individuals with the place in which they live, fundamental to the composition of that work. The residents form a community of memory, whose memories cross the whole trajectory of the quarter, from its birth until the present time (2008). In their narratives, before and now live, showing that in mind, different temporalities are not mutually exclusive.
