2010_KaritaAparecidaPBorges.pdf: 2213023 bytes, checksum: ac2186debaf27a5ba829d01e74d479e4 (MD5) / O intuito do presente trabalho é averiguar a construção narrativa da obra Dois irmãos (2000), do escritor amazonense, de origem libanesa, Milton Hatoum, como produção artística pertencente ao corpus da tradição literária brasileira e os possíveis questionamentos suscitados em torno dessa mesma tradição. Nesta análise da obra literária, pretende-se compreendê-la atrelada ao contexto sócio-histórico, não como representação do real enquanto documentário, mas perceber a realidade como instrumento (matéria-prima) que o escritor utiliza para recriar, transfigurar, por meio de um discurso ficcional, a realidade em que se insere. Desse modo, sabe-se que é estreita a relação entre literatura e os fatores sociais no processo criativo de um escritor, ao se considerar que, por meio de uma redução estrutural, a literatura produz um mundo à parte e transfigura, por modo estético-ideológico, a realidade. Com essa ressalva, faz-se necessário inferir a noção de espaço geográfico (no caso específico o território amazônico brasileiro) como veículo problematizador das relações sociais no âmbito da obra hatoumiana em questão, haja vista que tal concepção propicia uma narrativa ambientada na Manaus das décadas de 1910 a 1960 (desde o fim do Ciclo da Borracha, passando pela 2ª Guerra Mundial até a ditadura militar com O Golpe de 64). Desse modo, tem-se a narrativa contemporânea Dois irmãos como produção artística que engendra uma interpretação do Brasil na medida em que os processos históricos de uma determinada época em Manaus e, também no restante do país, são revelados pelo olhar de um arguto observador (o narrador-personagem Nael). ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / The purpose of this study is to examine the narrative construction of the book Dois Irmãos (2000), from the Amazon writer (of Lebanese origin) Milton Hatoum, as artistic production belonging to the corpus of Brazilian literary tradition, and possible questions raised around this same tradition. This literary work analysis intendes to understand the book tied to the socio-historical context, but not as representation of reality as a documentary but, perceiving reality as an instrument (feedstock) that the writer uses to recreate, transfigure through a fictional discourse, the reality in which it inserts. Thereby, it is known that the relationship between literature and social factors, in the creative process of a writer, is closed, to consider that, through a structural reduction, the literature produces a world apart and transfigures by mode aesthetic-ideological the reality. With this caveat, it is necessary to infer the notion of geographic space (in the case of the particular Brazilian Amazon territory) as a social relations problematizing vehicle within the work in hatoumiana, that is in question. Considering that this concept provides a narrative thar occurs at Manaus from 1910 to 1960 (since the Rubber's Cycle ending, through the 2nd World War until the military dictatorship in 64). So, we have the contemporary narrative Dois Irmãos, as an artistic production that generates an interpretation of Brazil to the extent that the historical processes of a particular time at Manaus, and also the rest of the country, are revealed by the look of a shrewd observer (the Nael narrator-character).
