No Experimento 1 participaram 21 estudantes, (M=21 anos, DP=1,73), dentre os quais 71,4% são do sexo masculino. No Experimento 2 participaram 16 profissionais de empresas privadas que realizam ou já realizaram entrevistas de seleção, (M=31,37 anos, DP=8,43), dentre os quais apenas um é do sexo masculino. No Experimento 1, os entrevistadores participaram aleatoriamente da análise de três currículos: positivo, neutro e negativo. Cada entrevistador realizava no máximo dez perguntas e preenchia questionário com suas avaliações prévias à entrevista. Seu parecer final foi emitido por meio do segundo questionário, após análise das respostas dadas às suas perguntas. No Experimento 2, houve apenas dois grupos experimentais, de modo que o entrevistador analisava o currículo positivo ou o negativo. No Experimento 1, a expectativa inicial dos currículos positivo e neutro é maior que a do currículo negativo, t(7,63)=3,52; p=0,008; d=2,63. As impressões iniciais e posteriores foram mantidas para todos os currículos. As perguntas realizadas para o candidato do currículo negativo foram menos favoráveis que as do positivo e neutro – t(18)=2,89; p=0,010; d=1,40. No Experimento 2, os entrevistadores tiveram melhor impressão do candidato do currículo positivo, F(1,14)=14,36; p=0,002; η2p=0,506. As avaliações anteriores e posteriores daqueles que analisaram esse currículo foram mantidas. Perguntas mais difíceis foram realizadas para o candidato do currículo positivo, F(1,15)=4,95, p=0,043, η2p=0,262. Conclui-se que houve influência das expectativas iniciais nas perguntas e confirmação de tais expectativas sobre o candidato melhor qualificado. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT / This research investigates the confirmation of initial expectations of interviewers. In Experiment 1 21 students took place (M = 21 years, SD = 1,73), among which 71,4% are male. In Experiment 2, 16 professionals that perform or have performed selection interviews were involved (M = 31,37 years, SD = 8,43), among which only one is male. In Experiment 1, the interviewers randomly participated analyzing one of three curricula: positive, neutral and negative. The interviewer could make at most 10 questions and filled out the questionnaire that accessed the prior evaluations. The interviewer analyzed the candidate's answers and issued its final opinion through the second questionnaire. In Experiment 2, the interviewer would analyze the positive or negative curricula. In Experiment 1, the initial expectation of the positive and neutral curricula are higher than the negative, t(7,63)= 3,52; p = 0,008;d=2,63. Initial and later impressions were kept for all groups. The questions asked to the candidate's negative curriculum were less favorable than the positive and neutral - t(18)=2,89;p=0,010; d=1,40. In Experiment 2, the interviewers had a better impression of the candidate's positive curriculum, F (1,14) = 14,36; p = 0,002; η2p =0,506.
